The will of becoming successful.

We all want to be succesfull in some kind of way, still most people FAIL. Even here on world's most popular marketing forum, most people fail to become successful.

WHY IS THAT?

    People get sick of seeing little to no results and give up. The real test is staying motivated for months and years after you start up!

    I don't think they don't want to be successful. It's just that they want do be successful RIGHT NOW. What most people don't realize is it takes hard work and persistence. Nothing worthwhile is easy or free.

      That is what I believe too, people want to be successful, but not want to become it.
      Because becoming it means working your ass off for a longer period of time.

    Yeah exactly! I think everyone wants to be successful. Attitude and mindset holds people back, and I think we are all guilty of maybe that persisting and sticking with something!

      Also to follow up on the answers so far, when you talk about Internet Marketing in particular, the following facts apply.

      Most people are attracted initially because of ...
      • The potential of quick money (or even riches) for little or no work/time.
      • The potential of successfully running a business from home.
      • The low barrier to entry.
      So, when those things don't happen, it's logical for people who don't know any better to quit. Especially when most Guru's they've read tell them how easy it is, with pictures of their mansions, Rolls Royce's and paychecks.

      They think it's something wrong with them if they don't achieve instant success ...Because that was the promise. Quick money for little or no hard work.

      "None of the Gurus sales letters told me it could take months or years of consistent effort to succeed. Their "secret" technique or "trick" was supposed to give me quick success or at least "some money". So, it must be something wrong with me.     People also often think that they can find a short cut. I can include myself in that. I've had directions laid out in front of me and then try to tweak or ramp up, do it faster, buy more ads etc etc. Sometimes slow and steady is the way to get there.

    Don't get me wrong, applying your own take on things is critical but its also worth taking advice from people along the way and listening to it.

    The other thing that I see is people keep looking rather than taking action.

    You don't want to just be successful. You have to be specific on what you really want.

    The best advice I can give you is to write down your WHY. Why are you in business and internet marketing?

    Maybe your why is to quit your day job at some point.

    Maybe you want to make enough money to make a car payment.

    Maybe your why is to be able to buy a bigger house.

    Maybe your why is to become your own boss.

    What ever your WHY is, sit down and think about it long enough to come with your own why.
