Why you are not succeeding

Hey guys!

I was on a webinar last night hosted by a millionaire email marketer. It was amazing and I got a ton of value from it.
It was 3 hours long of pure content , and he really hit some great points.
There were a few points he mentioned which really resonated with my marketing and my business, and I think any one who is struggling should know this.

In the world of online business there are 2 types of marketers. Push marketers, and Pull marketers.

Push Marketers: Look at your email inbox, your Facebook page, blogs and websites you follow.
Most of them have riddled their content with affiliate links for you to go and buy a product or service they are promoting.
For anyone who wants success and longevity, this is the wrong way to run your business.
Back in the early days, this was okay, due to the internet being new.
Fast forward to 2015, times have changed.
There is a lot of junk out there. People are constantly being bombarded with offers, products, and promotions of the latest make money online products.

Pull Marketers: Pull marketers are marketers who genuinely care about their audience. Pull marketers offer value. A pull marketer is someone who offers great content that their audience loves consistently!
This is the right way to get your name and out there and build your brand. If you consistently give value to you audience, they will love you for it.
The mistake a lot of online entrepreneurs make is to constantly push and force people to buy the products and offers they are promoting.

People do not like to be sold too!.

If you do not like being sold too, why would anyone else be different?

The moral of the story is that, you do not want to be known as the online salesperson.
You want to be known as the person who offers great valuable advice and content.
You want to gain that authority status. someone who knows what they are talking about.
Whatever industry or niche you are in, you want to be known as that guy people listen too.

So instead of promoting offer after offer after offer to your audience like a cold caller, give away free valuable content that educates and teaches your audience. That is why they came to you in the first place. After that, you can then offer them a chance to get even more information which will change their life, by promoting a good product.

E.g If you are in the bodybuilding niche, you could make consistent bodybuilding videos/ articles on how to build muscle, what supplements to take, the correct foods to eat etc.. on your blog. At the end of your videos you can then say something like , If you want more great information on how to build muscle I recommend "Name of the product" because....

This builds more trust and gives your potential customer a choice. People are more comfortable buying from you if they are given a choice instead of being pushed, like the typical salesman would do at your local electronics store.

The point is, even when you are promoting a product, offer value first. Then recommend the offer you are promoting at the end which is related to the video/blog post/article you have produced.

If you do that on a consistent basis, your name, your brand will be well known, and you will separate yourself from the pack, and your sales and earnings will rise.

I hope this helps anyone who is struggling to generate their first sale, or build their brand. Offer value first, then promote later!
