Internet marketers are too considered with perfection.

Newbies want to know every detail about a wso before buying, followed by continously doubting every action step they take when implementing the method or strategy they eagerly bought.

Advanced warriors are sceptic and want to know every detail about a program or product before diving in, because they feel they have the experience and knowledge to doubt the program or product beforehand.

Product creators, advertisers, (copy)writers, seo experts, etc. fuzz about every single step they take, every decision they make, every word they write....

And it sucks!

It's time consuming and creates an opportunity for self doubt.

You read.

You learn.

You implement...

With doubt.

With sceptisiscm.

Now, being sceptic can be a good thing.

In fact, it's an internal warning signal to keep you on track and achieve your previously set goals.

However, don't get scared...or...cocky.

Stop fuzzing about every detail and just get it done.

There is no perfection.

All there is...is common sense, a good set of brains and the ability to make decisions.

Know your audience.

Find solutions.

Make the sale.

Listen, 95 % of your success rate depends on your research.

No matter what kind of market you're in.

If you've done your research, you KNOW how to move forward and reach the goal you set out for yourself.

If you don't ...Do more research.

See a product you think can help you get closer to your goals easier and faster?

Go for it!

Not sure?

Ask yourself this:

1.Does this program/service help me get closer to what I want to achieve easier and faster?

2.Will this program or service help me get a deeper connection with my target audience?

3. Will this product/service benefit my ideal audience?

4. Do I need this product/service..or... do I want this?

5. Will this product/service help me focus or will it distract me from my goals?

Perfection assumes that you are smarter than your audience because you know the ‘right way’ and the ‘rules.

But...

this attitude leaves no room for your audience to be involved in your process.

Not only that...

It kills the person behind the product and service....

YOU!

And you need YOU...

To be creative.

To be spontaneous.

To find the right hook, angle, word, headline, service, product to best help your audience/customers.

To stand out from the competition....

If you insist on being "perfect", I suggest using the phrase... "practice makes perfect".

That's it.

Find your niche. Know your audience. Connect with them. Help them.

Made a wrong move?

So what!

Do more research and don't let it happen again. Lesson learned. Move on.

In other words.....

Feck Perfuction!

Stop killing your productivity by fuzzing around and start focussing on what you already know.

It's time to unleash your awesome creativeness and just... do it!

Just out of curiosity, is double-spacing between sentences a "thing" now?

I found your post difficult to read as a result of it.

    Thanks for the post!

Another facet to this is the fact that striving for perfection leads to lesser results. Sure, you might be putting in more hours into work, but you can accomplish the same amount in less time if you cut out the bull crap.

Focus on what makes a difference to your business, not on the minor details.

    Cheers, Zach.

I'm going to defend perfectionism. Yes, it can delay (even disrupt) things, but if what you're putting out there isn't as close to perfect as it can be, the backlash can be detrimental, especially if you're the head of a big corp.

Note what happens when Microsoft or Apple makes a goof.

      The Internet explodes!

There's nothing wrong with perfection. It makes you more professional.
Using my own experience as a writer, editor and proofreader, I can tell you that I have helped a LOT of people by either giving them excellent written material or eliminating the errors in material they give me.

If there are errors, I believe it's for any combination of these three reasons:
    1. People just don't care - "near enough is good enough."
    2. People are too lazy to fix things when they get told about them.
    3. People don't want to pay somebody to fix the errors.

These same scenarios can be applied to many different types of businesses.

It's ok to choose not to be perfect BUT I don't believe you should be telling others what to do or not do.

    That's my 2 cents worth.
P.S. Some double paragraph spacing is good but doing it all the time defeats the purpose.

Obviously this post is for those who feel they're being held back, are not getting things done, or feel like they're stuck, because of trying to be "too perfect".

I don't mention nor recommend delivering sloppy work, aweful products and/or services. I never said you shouldn't take the time to dott the I's and cross the T's. You should!

This is simply my opinion, which hopefully inspires others to just get things done.

And that is VERY crucial to keep in mind or it can do more harm to you than good!

      Thanks for the share
