How do you get yourself into the "Flow" of doing things fast?

Procrastination can sometimes jam up our minds and stop ourselves from doing work. One of the ways to over procrastination is to immediately get into doing the task at hand for a short while to try get the "flow" going. Like an engine warming up and then going from zero to 100 when ready.

Different people have different ways and personalized methods for getting into the "flow". Some use uplifting music while some people I know actually use earplugs to shut the world of distractions out.

What other methods do you know of or use to get into the "flow"?

I get in trance the day before and I imagine anticipating the day after. Now how you get in trance is a whole other topic, I use the hypno-progs of the Cosmic Master and usually next day is smooth sailing. I notice my productivity increased almost by 20% give or take.

Work on your mind before delving into the task at hand, it will make your life much easier. I also visualize being lucky all the time regardless of the outcome, this alone turbo-boosted my productivity in all areas in my life. I can't fathom out if I am really lucky at times but it seems to be working out pretty amazingly.

Habits and Systems. Be in the habit of starting work at the same time and working through a system. I personally wake up, exercise, eat the meditate for 5 minutes. Then I start working through my to do list that I prepared the night before that my subconscious mind has had all night whilst sleeping to help me work through the next day. This system allows me to almost eliminate procrastination regardless of how large or cumbersome the task at hand might be.

Decisions and discipline. Have a routine planned and stick to it without compromise! Having a set function fro each hour of the day allows you to move with efficiency into every task and become highly productive. Routine persisted with becomes a habit and a positive one at that, which eliminates the potential for negative habits creeping in.

Hard work beats Talent- Plan accordingly-> Do the things several times(PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE) ->you will get into the Flow of Doing the things FAST.

Success is a Habit...If you Miss your Habitual Action, you are missing your Success Habitually.

And this is my Schedule for the Day

4am-4:30 am (Visualise with a Deep Meditation Music)
4:30am-5am (Meditation 15min. + 15 min. While being in the dark room in the meditation state ask questions to your unsolved PROBLEMS to your subconscious Mind and whatever the Hint /Clue or solution you get as a hunch from inside write it down immediately with the pen and paper as you most likely to forget it while still being in the room Darkness + (meditation state). The answer you will get will BLOW your mind)

5am-5:30 am (10 min. Prayer + 20 min. Tratak / Sun Gazing) Benefits of Sun Gazing

The practice of sun gazing has some truly amazing benefits, not only for your physical health, but also for your mental well-being and spiritual development. Some of the benefits of sun gazing include:

      -Relief of stress and tension
      -Increased energy
-Boosts production of the feel good hormones serotonin and melatonin
      -Improved eyesight
-Reduces hunger pains –body is completely nourished by the sun (Some people claim to have been able to take part in this practice and not eat anything during the entire process which is usually about 9 or 10 months)
      -Stimulation of the pineal gland
      -Increased size of pineal gland
      -Releasing of internal blockages
      -Increased human potential

If you haven’t heard of sun gazing before, it means to stare at the sun for a short period of time, during what are known as safe hours during the day, either during the first hour of the sunrise, or the last hour before the sun sets. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! IF THE PROPER TIMES ARE NOT FOLLOWED EYES CAN BE DAMAGED BY THE UV RAYS FROM THE SUN. This should be ideally practiced barefoot with your feet standing on the earth.

5:30 am- 6:30am (20 min. Jogging in Open Fresh Air (PARK) + 40 min. Gym Work out)

6:30am-7:30am ( Refreshing Bath followed by Breakfast)

      7:30 am-9:30am (Power Nap)

9:30 am-11:30am (Meal +Research and Study on my Topic for cutting edge Knowledge)

11:30am -5:30pm ( 2 Meals +Follow my To do list of the Day)

5:30pm-6:30pm (30 min. Day review in terms of Productivity on the scale of 1 to 10 and then correcting the Gaps for next Day + 30 min.Advance planning on to Do list for Next Day)

      6:30pm- 7pm (Dinner)

      7pm-8:30pm ( Family time + recreation)

      8:30pm-9pm (Visualization)

      9pm- 4am (Deep Sleep)

This is my schedule for the day.Though it gives you less time to dishonour your PRODUCTIVITY but it will make you win EVERY single DAY and help you Financially exceed further.

Making this routine was not that hard for me as it was to follow. But when you start accomplishing your small goals every day, every week, every Month , every year when you look back you can easily see the Type of Humongous growth you have achieved that normal people can only DREAM of. Hope that clarifies everything I wish all the Luck to you friends. Take MASSIVE action everyday.

Hey Alexander, below are few things that have worked for me.

    To get into the flow:
Designating specific times, specific places, specific routines before getting into flow. If you do work continuously at specific times /places or after specific routines, gradually mind would become conditioned to get into flow state quickly.

    To continue with the flow:
Avoid interruptions. When you have ideas that are distracting you from the flow, records the ideas on paper and get back to work. For irrelevant thoughts that are distracting, continually do this: for a specific trigger for distraction, visualize you being triggered by the specific trigger, then release the thought and get back to work. On continuously doing this, you will gradually become less distracted and less likely to break the flow in future.

I might able to help you with a little more, if you let me know of your challenges with getting into flow in a bit more detail. PM me if you'd like to

To get into the flow, I'd normally write down what I need to do and how to make it happen. Writing it down helps me to focus my mind and move me into action so as to complete the list of things to do.
Every time I completed a task or achieved a "minor goal", I'd put a check mark next to it. This gives me a feeling of satisfaction knowing that I have been productive with positive results.

Going into quiet helps me find flow Alexander. I usually spend 2-3 hours in the morning and 1 hour at night in quiet, writing and proof reading my eBooks. I've learned to quiet things down when networking and publishing my posts too. Super simple way to rock it out.

    Good tips guys!

My number one step is making sure I'm fully energized because feeling tired or drowsy is my number one reason for procrastination. Then I usually play music that isn't too dynamic because I need background noise that still helps me concentrate, usually calm instrumentals are my top pics. Another thing that helps is creating a space that is strictly made for work, that way your brain is conditioned to make a connection with that place with being focused. Getting to the stage of flow is being able to exercise you brain to allow it full attention to one subject and getting out of our society's habit of unrealistic multitasking. It's a process of letting go, and having a positive state of mind on whatever you need to get done no matter how annoying or dreadful it might be to do it.

Since everything is responding to what you are feeling, I tend to get into a flow fast by making myself feel good.

Haven't you noticed that when you are feeling flat, everything else around you is slower.

Or perhaps if you are feeling off or grumpy things tend to slow and work against you.

It's O.K to feel negative emotions it's just not good to start your day with them.

The trick is to feel yourself into an imaginable feeling.

Just starting the day with things that make you feel good. Like-"It is a new day" and flow from there.

I also try to find a way to feel better from my grumpier state by acknowledging where I am and that it

is O.K to feel angry or grumpy.

Just remember that everything is temporary and your emotional response is temporary.

But to fast track into a flow fast is by being able to get up to speed with feelings of ease, relaxation,

feeling good, feeling content with where you are is key to moving into that kind of alignment-and that

    is easy to achieve.

A good concept..."getting into the flow". This is an omporatnat step to getting the imporatant stuff done.

I get myself going by having a routine...and when this routine is not stuck to my day is very difficult to bring back on track.

I wake up early and do the following key tasks:
    1. Read
    2. Listen to a motivational/success coaching seminar
    3. Affirmations/meditation
    4. Set my daily diary

These 4 steps are essential for me switching myself to a harmonious vibe that corresponds with my goals!

Nice topic dude and one of the best I read it here...

I use a few methods so I can be in the constant balance. While I am on work, I drink a lot of tea and coffee and listening some music like ambient, chill out, lounge or new age. It makes me fell better and stay focused on the work. After I finish with that, I am relaxing my mind with meditation before I start with my sports activities.
