Which is a Better Internet Marketing Strategy? Pitching Down the Middle vs. Pitching at the Corners

While waiting for football season to start, I decided to bite the bullet and watch a baseball game today. They played highlights of the top pitchers in history. I noticed the best ones had the ability to pitch around the corners to the top hitters. The worst were the ones who made a mistake and pitched down the middle to the top sluggers.

That made me think of it as an Internet marketing analogy when it comes to facing larger competitors. I see many newbies trying to go head to head with larger competitors (pitching down the middle) instead of aiming for those smaller markets, channels or strategies.

Everyone wants to try and compete with them on Google Adwords, Facebook and other venues ...until they run out of money. While they ignore the smaller less known channels. Or the many effective but little known avenues, that are less sexy or talked about by Guru's.

The best way to pitch at the corners when it comes to larger competition is to find find or master channels they haven't tapped into or mastered yet.

Instead of trying to tell ... I'll show you. I'd wager most of your larger competitors have yet to master or even discover most of these examples. Here's your opportunity to pitch at the corners and beat your bigger competition in ways they're not use to (Ninja Style).

But don't stop there this is only meant to stir your juices.
