Enjoy with what you have.

People are in stress for the things they are not having.I think this is not good because,we always need something after something.

We should give value to the things what The God has given us already. In this way we will live happy.

Thanks!

Yes its true, by nature if you are a miserable person, being rich wont make you any happier.

Then you will have even more problems to content with. The Tax man, the sneaky jealous rivals, all those new hand me out friends.....

Firstly your health is your number one wealth! Thats what your foundation is - no foundation no life simple as!

We should appreciate the things that are priceless like good health, the fresh air, water and nature.

look how the trees absorb all the C02 to give us fresh pure o2! If the trees decided to have an off day we would be in trouble.

Always love what you have and more love will find its way to you!

One does not necessarily have to give value, but to appreciate what is.

We can be grateful what we have but this does not
    mean we must be satisfied.

Nature is all about growth. Nature does not hold back.
It aims to give more and more. As it was once said
to me, every blade of grass has an angel above it
whispering, 'grow, grow, grow' - and so it does.

Are we not part of nature too? Wanting more than
we have is part of our being - it's natural.

Yeah, i think the distinction between want and need becomes blurred for some people.

Don't learn what's important when it's too late, find out right now

Yes this is true, as long as cherish what you have now God will most definitely bless with the things you want...

I feel strongly about that, being grateful for what you have also makes you stronger in the long run, because you will know what you came from.. and you will cherish the luxuries when you get them!

I think it is more important to appreciate what you have.
Enjoy means to feel every ting which you have or not but you should have feeling about all things.
Be happy and enjoy all the things.

So true but easier said than done

If able to follow this regularly, certainly this is the best thing to do but as we move forward in our lives, it is always towards new goals and targets. In this rush, we so easily forget this basic, even if we strongly believe this.

Just read a quote by Socrates a couple days ago "He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have."

We have some great thoughts here. At this point in my life, I am content with the "material" things I have. In fact, by many standards, I don't have much. I don't live in a huge house, I don't have flashy cars, clothes, or gadgets.....and I'm ok with that.

My desire has been to be able to have time freedom and flexibility, to be debt free, and to be able to travel and experience things as I want. I value experiencing things more than I do having things. I enjoy being able to go to Peru to spend time with orphans. Or going to Honduras to assist in providing food for hurricane victims. Material things are just going to break, wear out, and pass away, but these experiences will stay with me as long as I live. You all may have a similar story.

I didn't always feel this way, but fortunately, some key people in my life showed me that there is truth in the notion that having gobs of money and stuff is not the real key to contentment. Maybe it is temporarily, but not for the long term.

It reminds me of the saying, "it all goes back in the box" referring to life as being like a board game. We play the game with all the stuff, but when the game is over (when we die) it all goes back in the box; we're not taking it with us when we die.

      You know what I'm saying?

My lecturer told me once : Live in the moment, and that something I hold. Used to be I always looking forward for future, and I discover, it will never stop. Like when you climb a mountain, because you are so eager to go to the top, you forgot to enjoy the beautiful scenery surround the mountain. So live in the moment, enjoy and appreciating you have now, because it can never come back

I always believe that if we enjoy what we are doing then we will be very productive. So we should find a job that we are sure will make us happy and fulfilled. Love you work and it will give great results.

I am sometimes guilty of not appreciating the things I have and tend to have complaints about other stuff in life. I guess enjoying what you have can make you feel content and happier.

I agree Zim. A person needs to be very thankful for what they already have. Also, I feel when you have proven to God that you can handle more success/ money that he will bless you with more.

    Can`t agree more, idesignbanner.
    You`re absolutely right.
So many people still do not realize that if they can`t handle their (un)happiness with what they have now, they won`t be able neither after achieving their "goals".
Actually, process goes exactly in opposite way.
After finding happiness and fulfillment of life`s joy in your current situation, you`ll achieve your goals.

    Nice thread.

I think to be happy and content with yourself there is only one simple rule to follow.

'Get what makes you happy or Be content with what you've already got'

No point making a fuss about stuff you don't have, If you can get it then get it I mean work towards it and achieve it coz its better then just sitting there and moaning about it.
