3 ways to get RID of FEAR

1) Give yourself a chance to fail or try something new. Getting out of your comfort zone little by little. And no matter if you fail or not...give yourself permission to do so. Say to yourself... "it's ok that I failed, nobody can become an expert overnight".

2) There is good and bad fear. If it makes you more eager to try something outside your comfort zone or drive you, then it's good fear. Paralyzing fear is something that you need to address and think about WHY you fear something. It's good to gather several instances/situations of fear when faced with a particular action.

Write each one down and look at commonalities. Then you can easier identify why you're afraid and what situations make you afraid. After that you need to work on it day by day, reframing the situations by making those into movies in your head, then imagining other outcomes.

3) Having thoughts that fear=failure. Maybe you did something in the past that got you either scolded, ridiculed/laughed at or made others become disappointed with you. No matter what happened, this is something that gets people to associate fear with failure.

You can associate a new meaning to failing, and that is learning. Each time you "fail", say to yourself "I'm only learning". Then feel and identify with that statement. Feel good about it. Repeat repeat repeat, until you feel it automatically.

The long and the short of it is-you can't get rid of anything. Once something is created it exists. The only thing in your power is to create something new.
Have you ever tried to get rid of something to only find that it comes back? That is because it is your attention to get rid of it actually increases to presence of it.
Solution: You have to create something new and put your attention on it.
So fear always exists, but it is weather you have your attention on it and how you deal with it that makes the difference.
If you were in fear and wanted to be free from it, all you need to start doing is focusing on something that makes you feel safe and secure. Something that is slightly a different feeling from fear.Soon enough(depending on how strong the fear is) you would gravitate toward feeling safe and secure. BUt like everything, it is a practiced thing!

      Indeed you are correct Jennifer!

Energy is something that can never be destroyed, only transformed

The title of the article is for people who are drawn to getting rid of something, since they may not realize or know that it can never be. But the bright side of it is that good things can multiply, to as you say...create something new.

Here is one tip from the thread I open yesterday:

This goes hand in hand with insecurity, because once you remove those layers of insecurity and actually know what you want from life you can relentlessly move towards your goals.
Your goals are supposed to be scary. If they are not then you might want to consider some bigger ones! And failing on the way to achieving what you want out of life is also normal.
But being spiritually connected helps you to not be afraid of being a failure, while accepting you will fail along the way.

There is no need to get rid of fear. Fear is natural and it comes and it goes. Trying to push away something that is natural is not going to end well.

Instead of making something about fear and having to get rid of fear, make it about fun, a game. For example, making proposals on a business...ooh, that's so scary, I might fail...I better not try.

Make it a game instead, the 'yes lives in the land of no' game, because it is a true game. Make proposals and proudly collect your no's, because you will also collect more yes's!

One way to be fearless is not to make things about fear.

      Hi! What a great subject!

There's a truly exceptional book by Susan Jeffers called FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY!

I cannot recommend it highly enough. It's probably on Amazon, but I found it at Barnes & Noble.

If you read this book, and you ACT on it, it will help you conquer your fear. Each fear you conquer is then replaced by another fear. Fear never goes away: it's a part of being human.

It's how we choose to deal with our fear that matters. Do we let it stop us from doing what we really want to do? Or do we acknowledge that our fear is very real, and do what we want to do in spite of our fear?

We face this choice very often, irrespective of how large or small our fear is.

She describes the three levels of fear. The first level is fear of losing a job, fear of getting married, fear of starting a business, etc. The second level is fear of rejection, fear of success, fear of failure, etc. The third level is the bottom line of ALL our fears: We can't handle it.

So affirm: Whatever will happen will happen, and with God's help, I can and will handle it to the best of my ability, one day at a time.

This is my own personal affirmation, but it expresses what Susan Jeffers says in her book: be willing to risk and have faith that somehow it will work out.

      Do get this book!

True, fear comes and goes, but according to your example, you choose something fun to do instead of think of fear... wrong!

If the fear is shows for the first time, then He stay there. By thinking about something fun or play some game you will not helping your-self. By analyzing the situation and see why you was fear about that thing, you will figure out how to destroy the fear.

Awesome post, that is very motivational.

It's also worth it to point out that people who most see as "fearless" in fact still feel fear like everyone else.

The difference isn't that they are without fear...it's that they feel the fear and do it anyways.

          Thanks for the Tips!

Also, I would like to add one more suggestion: when you face the inner aspects of your fears inside your body and start to observe them as they are, without projecting any other meanings, thoughts, judgements, etc. the fear itself become less dense and weaker. Because, in my experience, fear is only a false misperception of body-mind feelings that are overpowering themselves with other "optional" thoughts.

No energy can be destroyed only changed and transformed. you can't destroy fear, reframe, yes, change it's meaning yes but not get rid of it and have nothing in it's place. There is a balance to life, albeit sometimes hard for us to see the connection.

You can look at it from multiple perspectives Mentat47.

There isn't just one way...there are many.

One way is to reframe that fear into good/fun/driving things that makes you go forward.

Another one might be your way.

So you see...there isn't just ONE WAY to solve a problem, but many

And having that realization, there is no point in really arguing with anyone ever again...

No ONE person has 100% right or wrong in any given moment really. It's ALL relative to perspective, situation etc.

Every energy that it's created by our brain can be destroyed. Everything that is exists in universe is eternal and you choose what to create with your brain. So fear is option like a energy, but by choosing you already create in you brain.

So, it's stuck in you brain and no one but you can destroy that energy, because it is in you, not outside in the universe.

if something doesn't scare you just a bit it may not be worth doing ..

anyway we live in a society that markets fear to us to get us to do things and change our behaviors .

how many of your fears are real or media induced first world paranoia .

most successful people and soldiers feel fear but are trained in how to process the information .. or are trained to act dispite the fear ..and many siuccessful people have served in the military ..

understand why we feel the fear we do..and why.. it will illuminate core parts of your personal bs..err belief systems ..

insurance is big business..and you should have some ..or be properly insured for what you do..it is one thing many people do to deal with fear ....

after the 2007 crash when warren buffet invested heavily in bank of america.. he he got large amount of stock at price only he could get..and also had himself covered to make a bunch of money if bank of america collapsed .. and the stock went to 0 ..

sometime your fears are important and tell you where the real opportunity is ..

Disagree! If the society managed to put the fear inside your life, then you have serious problem with the matrix. Every time when you fell the fear about something, even if is a good situation, that tells that the society is rule over you.

If you want to destroy the fear and never let him reborn again in your brain, start to practice metaphysic!

im sorry .. how long have you ben held up in a cave..and not exposed to the media in the modern world ..hell fear has been a tool used to control the masses sense the begining of civilization ..

there is nothing wrong with fear or being afraid..it is part of being human.. there is everything wrong if you let fear controll and guide your life

sometimes fear is a good thing ..i have never tried hard drugs because i feared getting addicted..to many people do not have that fear ..and completly mess their lives up..

i don't usually wear my seatbelt..but the tomes i do it's less for fear of accidents more for fear of getting a ticket ..

fear is not bad it is natural.. understanding what the fear is and why it is there ..

now if you real disagree ..that the societies we live in bombard us with constant message of things to fear ..in an effort to get us to act the way certain groups wish us to..

fear eggs fear whole milk ..fear foods people have been eating for hundreds of years..but don't fear the highly process chemical filled ..genetically modifed organism based packeged foods in pretty packages that say healty , low fat vitamin fortified .

you are right about being plugged into the matrix .. but when we chose to be humans we understood the game we would be playing this time

Sometimes it's just a matter to find a way to reframe and view that fear as a friend instead of judging it as the worst thing that can happen.

Fear is just another kind of energy in ourselves which can be used & transformed in something positive & productive.

by understanding where the fear comes from..it become less of makeing many fears you friend ..a huge chunk of our belief systems or BS ..is the result of marketing from many different groups ..

and then a bigger part of the rest are ego based ..set in wories about what others with think of you ..when 95 percent of the time the only time other think of you is to worry what your thinking of them and what you can do for them ..

so it is a matter of if the fear is based in a reality or .. imagination

    Great article.
One way that I found to reduce fear greatly is to take early, consistent action. So the mind can focus on the next thing to do rather than worrying
