The ONE Secret of Success

by Raydal
13 replies
I read two books I bought this week on how to improve my business
and productivity. I can save you the money I spent on these books
and the time to read them.

Secret of success? Work harder. Do more. Don't give up.

Sorry, but there are no "secrets" to success. It's so plain to see but
most people will not pay the price. Pay the price and get the goods.

of course there is a secret that most everyone knows ..you hear it in the whinng about income in equality ..

the wealthy ..do not earn much of there income from a wage..but from investments and assets ..either creating the assets or buying them..

wages are the highest taxed type of income,, it is hard to build wealth when half or more of what you earn in wages gets taxed away ..

most people here are probably not building businesses they can eventually sell .. so they miss a huge way business owners get wealthy ..when they sell part of their business ..

so you can indeed be more successful just working hard and doing more ..heck and you can be much smarter reading a book a day or a book a week ..

but if you want to be wealthy ..you have to build or create assets ..and learn both what an investment really is..and how to invest ..

donald trump is out campeigning for president..but his businesses are running just fine and making money unless they are in challenged industries ,,but he worked har building the systems the keep thing running without him needing to man the controlls every day ..

There is no secret to anything be it marketing, losing weight, or living a healthy life. You have to put in the work and not give up. Most people give up right before they find success.

I think all the motivational and success books start from the same principles. We like to read them because they have a lot of stories, things put from different views and they motivate us, they give us the energy.

You can tell what a book is about from the title, but if you know what the "secret" is, won't make you better. You must understand that principles and how to apply them.

I agree with your post. Exactly, hard work is the answer. If you get up 1,000 product due to being lazy, versus 10,000 products if you put effort into your work, you will make much more money, needless to say. So, whatever helps me work hard, is what I utilize.

Reading a books can really help you to change the way you look at things, but depends and what kind of a books you read...

I agree with you that you should work harder and never give up if you want to success in your work career, but let me ask something else:

What you will gonna do if you realize that even if you work harder and you don't give up, you still don't reach your goal/goals? Should we continue with our pressure or we should stop and think about other options?

You can fail your way to success. Most successful people will tell you the
number of times they failed but learned from their failures. Think Thomas
      Edison.

It is hardly that you work hard at something and it failed the reason why people fail,
but that they didn't work or persist long enough.

there is plenty of free lunch in this world.. just no free lunch if you expect someone else to put the lunch in front of you to eat ..

the main problems humans have is most of their efforts are completely wasted or expended just for show ..

half of what someone earns as a wage ends up going to some type of tax ..and then most of what is left goes to day to day expenses just to keep working ..

Thanks for sharing with us. Aside from this "secret" I would like to add that our fears keep us back. I remember when I started, I was always afraid that I`m losing my time and should do something else.

Thank you for sharing this. It is true as I think I am in the middle of striving to optimize things.

When I first try to start, I think I am in a cold water and don't know what's gonna happened and it's really cold. But every time I swim, check if I am in the right direction with what I can do, then move forward, things are going better. Just it's really really cold out there and endless moving if you don't know what you're doing.

So I think if people want to success, they must have a lot of passion and courage to do so first and then it's hard working and knowledge to push things up.
