sorry ..

if something works do it more untill it stop improving ..or stop working ..

if something isn't working ..do it less ..make adjustments until it works ..or if it never works stop doing it ..

.. the bonus simple action plan to get the simple super success secret to work..is to tests things on a small scale to tweak them ..and see what works and doesn't

Agree. I turned away from idea of struggling to succeed at something no matter what and started developing what shows signs of at least some success literally from the first step. Everything is much better since then.

    Yup.

Perseverance is one thing, but you have to make sure that what you're doing is actually working. You also need to keep adjusting and improving or else you'd waste valuable and irreplaceable time doing what's impractical or worthless.

the cavet to this though ..

you have to understand when things are working and when they are not ..

this is actually harder than it should be .. because few people go with solid peramiters on performance ..

While I agree with you, if you're not passionate about the thing you do; it won't work for you even if it works in general. You have to love what you do and listen to your intuition.

different topics ...and the op was short ..for a reason (mainly i would have spent a half hour writining a post then deleted it ..as that has become my thought process ..or getting it out og my head ..)

but it really depends on what you are going after ,,

i don't fully buy in to the you must be passionate about a certain thing ..

from my own testing and personal feed back ..there are a list of things i can do in doing anything that bring out passion ..what matters more it in doing a thing i can apply as many activities from that list as possible ..

as i seem to have a short time horizon of interest and need to move on in 3 6 or 12 months or fster

What works for some might not work for someone else. So you also have to take into account your own skills, interests and personal traits. A thing may not be suitable for one individual because he lacks the qualities needed to succeed in that thing while that the same thing might be a good option for another person. So the trick is to find something that works for you or has the potential to work for you.

For example - writing may be a good option for some but not for all. Similar is the case with all other things.

And no point in persevering mindlessly. You have to ascertain whether there is potential in a thing or not and whether you (and not others) are likely to succeed in it or not.

By the way, it is a good post. Solid advice.

hello..im not pick on you with what i am about to say ..it's just the general concept of ..needing to be motivated to work ..

most people who have jobs are not joyously motivated to go to work.. they get out of bed because they have bills to pay.. food to buy.. kids to buy cloths for ..

why we need to be motivated to work .. when we don't have a clock to punch or a boss to report to..is most likly because we are still in the mindset of a 9-5 thinking..where work is that thing you do during certain part of the day..to earn money .. and in the attempt to chase success.. we hang the 8 10 12 hour a day minimum .. time investment ..or exchange .

most very rich people do not need to be motivated to work ..sometime rich people get kidnapped for ransom..and can be held for months..and if they get released on a saturday they are back to work on monday morning...

the thing they do that makes tem money..is the most motivating thing they can do..

that is where success starts ..because we tend to define ourselve to others by the thing we do to earn money ..

if there is a long list of things you would rather do..than what you do to earn money..it may be time to explore ways to make money with a much shorter list of things we would rather be doing ..

ahain this wasn't aimed at the preson i quoted ..but the general idea of needing to be motivated before you work ..

I understand what you say but sometimes the things doesn't work at the first time and you need more time and effort to reach your goals.

    Hey Odahh,
I can understand that frustration people go through.

Sometimes it is not that we are not doing something right, it is that we are not doing what we should

    be doing.

And it's hard to know what is that because it is only through our experience do we fully realize that

perhaps there needs to be some other way one can approach things.

Sometimes it's just a small tweaking and other times it can be major.

Having a strategy to know WHAT I am doing always helps me.

Sticking to a plan and evolving with it is essential as well because nothing stays the same.....even the

    initial plan.

Asking myself daily, what I am doing? Am I pointed in the right direction? Am I lining up with the right

    people?

I think when I ask myself questions it helps to navigate to the right direction and the direction is

known by me when I feel it is right, not just because someone says it is right. Hope this helps others

I really do believe that success is a product of doing something from the heart. May it be in terms of business, career, parenthood, relationships, etc.

I can share a little story for this. I have been with the food business industry for almost 4 years before and I decided to quit and spend quality time for myself. Since that I am a sweet tooth myself, I thought that doing my passion for baking would be a win-win pastime. I started searching and trying some recipes then eventually, it becomes a source of income.

If you want to be successful with anything, then my suggestion would be "do it from the heart".
