Routine is Motivation

While reading a forum I came up with an idea, that today I should try to write something about motivation, actually this thoughts were spinning in my head for a long time, this might sound funny, "try to write something about motivation" I guess this is not how it's supposed to work... But anyway maybe some of you will motivate this.

First of all I want to warn you this is going to be long post, I feel like I have thousands of thoughts which I want to share with you, I know I won't be able to write everything, because it would be just to much. So let's start.

The title might sound strange "Routine is Motivation" it even sounds like it's something impossible. But I always loved to choose strange and attracting attention titles, I believe that's what I do the best. Why routine motivates me? Why it should motivate you as well? I will try to explain this from different perspectives, first will be from other people stories( I like to discuss with others about things like routine, how they feel, what is like to live in situation like this) and other will be from mine perspective.

I don't know why, but I love talking with people about their struggles, what they would like to change, why they are not taking any actions, are they happy about life which they are living now. I believe this is just the way I was born and I like to be heard by others as well. So after discussing with other people, by saying other people I mean - my friends, family, colleagues from my past jobs, we end up with an agreement that money is one of the most important things in our lives, yeah I know it's obvious. We go to work, I'm talking about people who are working somewhere for someone and it's most of the people in the world, just to earn money.

Some might say that they love their job and they like what they are doing, but at the of the day money is what all the matters the most. You can have the best job in the world, but after some time you will start hating it, it's just the matter of the time. You can try disagree with me again, but we all know the truth. Maybe it's not the work, which we hate - it's routine. Yes it's routine, because after some time you will catch yourself in routine cycle and it's impossible to escape from it, unless you are taking actions, you are leaving your comfort zone by changing the job, going to work to other place, city or country. This will save you for the some time, but let's be honest the routine cycle will come back.

Few days ago I talked about this with my cousin, and I want to mention that she is the most positive person I have ever met. I asked her how is she doing is everything ok, does she like her job, about she was dreaming for so long. So at first she tried to stay positive, said that this how it's supposed to be you get caught in routine, same things almost everyday, just like normal people live. It's like a rule now if you are a normal person - you must live in routine. Yes she tried to stay positive, but after some time I managed to crack her, I just kept asking her: why you are not taking any actions? You like how you live now? As long as I see your plan is like my mothers or your fathers or our uncles, Eat, Sleep, Work, Repeat and Die?? What other great people, who are financially free are different than you? Why you are afraid of taking a risk and change your life? You know that living in comfort just makes your routine more stronger? I kept her bombing with these questions until she agreed with me that it's not right to live like that. Why are we not trying to look at this from different point of view? Maybe that's how our parents raised us, or maybe it's because in school we were taught how to fit in our society, by trying not to be different. Or maybe that's because in university we were taught how to be good employees. I guess it's the combination of all these things. My cousin after that just got confused and agreed with me, that this not how it's supposed to be and she should try to do something about that.

And now about me and why routine is motivation. I'm 23 years old, since I finished the school I changed 6 working places, tried to study twice, but somehow I failed after that I moved to Great Britain... So basically my journey began when I graduated from school - it was 5 years ago. But I would like to mention that my interest in IM began when I was 13 years old, I just loved the fact that there are lots of clever and wise people, who can earn money by their own, just like here - You Warriors. I wasn't fired from any of my jobs, I just quitted them, because I wanted changes, it never took me long to start living in routine cycle again, but after every time I left the job I started working very hard on IM - I thought that this is it, it's my time now. And yes I had some good projects, I made some money. But it always somehow seemed to me that I should find a job and should listen what my family says to me - just live a steady life, with a steady job, with a steady income. After some time I started feeling depressed that I couldn't come with any ideas, I forgot about the past about how I used to earn more money from my projects than my mother and father combined together. I needed answers, members from this forum told me not to give up, just keep going and trying harder. And for this I would like you to thank you all. And now I see everything clearly, that I kept failing, but it was good, because every time something changed. Same things used to happen when I succeeded, things were changing and because of that I could stay away from routine, from same things, from boring life. So this is why routine motivates me, because I know if I stop trying I will start living in it again, which I really don't want to.

So I would like to say huge thanks to Warrior forum and all members, that you trying something different than all grey mass in this World. If you ever feel bad or start feeling the lack of motivation, remember you are trying something different and sooner or later you are going to succeed.

Nice post... money is the most critical factor which makes people take jobs which they do not like...
we are lucky to know that there is something called IM which can be as good or in some case better that regular job...
unfortunately most people are not even aware that there can be a way out of that life sucking job ... they think just because 90% people have a job and also our parents had one , having job is the only option ...

Yes you are totally right, there is more than one way to live life and earn money than others might think
