Whining and Complaining - How far do you think you'll get?

In the IM niche, no matter where you go online,
you'll find people complaining about stuff.

This isn't working, that's not working.
This product sucks, that marketer sucks - etc, etc.

That includes here on the WF.

For those who make it a habit of complaining - how far do you think you'll go in your IM business?

You're going to hit ups and downs. There are gonna be slumps in your business.
You're gonna run an ad campaign and lose your shirt. You're gonna buy a course that becomes obsolete a month later. You're gonna join a program that doesn't work out.

Just keep pushing on.

But realize that, EVERYTHING is your responsibility.

Complaining only brings about more of what you're complaining about.

Instead of focusing on the problem that you're complaining about, focus on finding a solution.

There are a lot of things people can find to whine about.

The competition, some course they bought, the ever-increasing cost of traffic for paid ads, the fact that they've been "marketing" for 6 weeks and aren't seeing enough money to quit their jobs...

"Instead of focusing on the problem that you're complaining about, focus on finding a solution."

What the OP said there is actually what a good businessman does; he solves problems and turns a profit in the process.

    Regards,
    Daniel

I agree with you danieldesai. When I read your post I immediately thought of this quote by Jim Rohn:

"Don't wish it was easier wish you were better. Don't wish for less problems wish for more skills. Don't wish for less challenge wish for more wisdom"
We have the ability to control and change our life by becoming better skilled and focused on resolving our problems and improving our skills.

There's no use in complaining. People just don't have the time and nerves to think about another one's obstacles. Those who complain think they are doing something while they're complaining but they are just becoming passive and far more likely to achieve nothing.

On the other hand, people should know when to quit and start something different. There are so many people ambitious and persistent pursuing the idea that will never pan out! So many people are losing time and health driving in the wrong direction. If something is not working for 2 years MOVE ON! Your ambition and dilligence and persistence are all in vain and will get you nowhere if you're riding the wrong horse!

I think that when people complain they're really just trying to blame someone else for their shortcomings and need to make themselves feel better by pointing a finger at someone…

Just in general the best thing to do is to fail forward…if you try something and it doesn't work out how you thought it would or how it did for somebody else, instead of sitting their crying about it, simply mark it down as a win in the sense you just found something that doesn't work for you and you know not to try that again (or that you need to do a better job at it next time).

    Just my two cents

There's a good quote that I really like when I hear stuff like this.. "99% of the time if an offer isn't working, it's the affiliate and not the offer's fault"

This isn't a job, this is a business, if someone wants to be successful they need to accept ownership and take the bull by the horns and make it happen. If not.... well... there are many jobs out there

I agree to a point that yes this is a business but if I buy a product for my business and it fails to live up to its rep, what i am reading is suck it up and stop complaining ! sorry if the bloody thing does not do what it say it does than I will say something to the owner.

Like anything you or I have purchased and there have been bloody duds over the years that dont live up to the hype, have you not complained

Someone whining and complaining about people whining and complaining you couldn't make it up.

    Feels very meta.

    What utter bullshit.

The IM niche is full of "marketers" who promise the earth and deliver nothing.

And that's the buyer's fault is it?

I gave up on IM because of all the scam artists out there who blamed me (and others) for their products/services being crap.

You sound like one of them.

        This.

The most valuable advice I can give on a forum such as this is along the lines of "that doesn't work". Is that negative? Perhaps, but at least the recipient of that advice might reconsider the "action" they're about to take, come up with something that actually helps them, and not waste hours of their life just toiling around.

Hogwash. You complain about something, and more often than not the problem goes away, or someone offers a solution.

Hey, maybe I should package this into a WSO. "The Secret of Complaining - How Universe Hears Your Whining".

Not to nitpick, but taking action isn't magic. Lots of people take action and don't get anywhere near where they're trying to go. Too many people have "make money" as their goal and take random actions, not knowing how or if the actions will connect the dots between where they are and where they want to be.

But putting that aside, yeah, most of the bitching comes from most of the stuff online being BS!

And it requiring a ton of work to figure that out.

And individuals making it work somehow, while you are trying every way to get it to work.

    Well, that and SEO!

I could complain about a lot - having trouble paying my bill, not paid enough (at my job), not enough time in the day, etc... But I figure if I manage everything right & do what I can to improve myself and my position, then I can get out of the hole I dug myself.

man what a thread, I don't like this, I think it could be a better thread, threads like this serve no purpose, why can't I just start my own thread, ha hahah!

just joking guys, but it's true, there are so many complainers who won't take responsibility and at the end of the day if they don't and they just complain they will find more negative things to talk about

some people just like to pass the blame and not take responsibility

When I say whining and complaining, I don't mean that if something isn't right, that you shouldn't do or say anything about it to the right people. For example, If a product doesn't live up to it's promise, than you should definitely contact the owner and let them know, so they can take care of it.

To me, whining and complaining is knowing that there's something you can do to fix the situation, and deciding to complain instead of doing something about it.
