  • 1. You get to leave your comfort zone!

Taking a vacation is a challenge because you will be moving outside your normal sphere or comfort zone. You will have to get the office organized and work sorted while you are away. It is a wonderful opportunity to delegate and it is beneficial to actually see how the office performs without you. You will have to set up emergency contact procedures just in case, but ideally there should be no other contact with the office.

“Without vacations, we all become droids on network steroids, perhaps the president included.” – Lexy Funk, CEO Brooklyn Industries.

    vacation..

you know .. depending on what business you do .. there may be confrences and seminars .. or trade shows ..or something you can do to educate yourself and improve your business .. going on some time during the year in some place around the country or world you would like to visit ..

if you are not in a traditional business.. you do not need to adhear to the traditional idea of a vacation.. if you are wouking and most of your business is online ..and al you really need is access to wifi to get your stuff done ..you can travel and work ..

and not need a vacation where you are not working for a period of time .. or as i said in other thread you can pick businesses that are seasonal in nature .. work you ass off for half the year .. travel and relax the other half ..

  • Vacations are opportunities to access new information.

In a traditional sense, you get to hang out someplace cool, an' meander like Walt Whitman on a roll.

But you gotta figure also how a vacation might also mean jumpin' up outta your usual spot to go figure on novel input.

It is important to be diligent an' directed, but you gotta watch you don't get stuck.

So I figure you gotta be flexible enough to vacate your familiar mileux from time to time.

That is what I endeavor to keep in mind as weeks spiral out into months an' inevitable change digs its claws into my resolve.

I am not a fixed point in anyplace an' neither are my goals or dreams.

It is the only way I know how to stay on my feet.

  • I think when it comes to creativity, vacation is like the most important factor! Your creative juices cannot be produced if you are always in the same rountine, tired, worn and drained out.

  • Well, I can add onto this. You get to spend time with your family, which is very much forgotten.

No many how much money you make, you cannot buy back time, youth or memories.

Before we all get drown in out work, let us take a break, and treasure the people around us!!

Gotta hate the feeling of guilt of having to call in sick. Even if you are sick you gotta call in and then feel insecure all day wondering if they got your message.

  • I think that a truly successful entrepreneur has the mindset, knowledge and the right business system in place that allows him/her to be wealthy in both time freedom and money.
If one is an entrepreneur for the right reasons should not be or feel like grinding, instead it should be fun and rewarding for the most part.

A vacation sometimes is not necessary to someone who spend the whole life with working. But under the super intensive pressure, there should be a solution for them to restore their energy and revitalize their health...
Well, a vacation should be what a busy person should spend time on to balance his life. And a vacation will also be the mental drug to call back an energetic person. Imagine that you have burried yourself the whole day at workplace, then a lounge in the beach in hot weather will be what most people want to experience.

and VOILA! You got a solution. Sometimes the best solutions are just deep inside your subconscious.

well taking a vacation is very important because in a week or two outside your job spot, you will recharge your batteries and work harder and better with much better results. also, during your working day it is very important to make small breaks and give your brain a few minutes to get some rest. I think that these things are very important for being a good and hard working employee

The following few reasons are my reason why i take a vacation every now and than when i can get few days off.
    Reduce stress
Whether you are experiencing a burnout or are embattled with lots of pressures at work, going on a vacation will dramatically reduce whatever stress you are experiencing. Stress doesn’t help you seeing things clearly. But when you do take a break you understand how to balance your work and life and decrease the effects of stress and any signs of burnout.
Do your health a lot of good
According to a study men who go on vacation reduce their overall risk of soon death by 20 percent. According to an article by the New York Times you increase your rate of dying soon by 21 percent when you do not take any annual vacations.
    Improve productivity
Not taking a day off is causing exhaustion, impatience, poor decision making and illness. You will be helping your work by becoming more productive after taking a vacation. People are satisfied with life on vacations and return more energized and positive.
    Become more creative
Vacation provides you with the time to refresh and recharge your brain cells. According to experts we are wired to recharge and not go the long haul or stretch without a break. That is reason why many workers get their best ideas away from the office space.
    You become happier
People who took a vacation were happier than those who did not. This was because of the wild anticipation and excitement involved for their vacation. Even after returning from the vacation the elation was sustained. It is better to repeat the vacation experience twice or thrice in a year rather than taking one big vacation.
    New perspectives
No matter where you decide to spend your vacation time, the time from work will give you an excellent time to reflect and open yourself to new possibilities. At such a period away from work you can see the world from a holistic angle rather than a lopsided angle. You could be pushed to read a business book, learn new cultures and change your perspective to one that will help you gain better vision as you return to your every day job.
    Some family or self time
Quality of life is dependent on how you appreciate yourself and those who are around you. Only vacations from a busy schedule can offer you time to appreciate the people around you. Doing a vacation offers you an opportunity to truly think about those things that matter, whether it is by reflecting or planning, vacation gives you a sense of peace and warmth you will never get in a workplace environment.
It is important to be selfish sometimes. As the old saying goes, “all work and no play makes jack a dull boy.” Getting out of your comfort zone and experiencing something new like some new place, new country, new culture is good for your body, mind and those around you.
