First DO THIS, and THEN they will come!

People often worry about the promotional vehicles and strategies. Forget it. Focus first on the quality of your produce. Harness your skill in something. When you are known as one of the best in specific area of business/life (whatever it may be), promotion will happen by itself and people will come to you.

I totally agree with you. We should really focus first on the product itself and all else will follow. If you create a good product you don't have to worry about promotion since for sure the product will speak for itself.

Hmm, I believe promotion and product quality should go hand in hand.
You see, promotion is only secondary if the product or service is great.

People will be attracted to it as by magnet. There are some products here on WF that are selling for a very long time, having thousands of views and comments - because these are quality products.

So they naturally attract consumers. If you are known as a top notch specialist in your specific area, your name will naturally become your promotion. People won't even read sales letters that much. So yes, I didn't mean you must hide your product after you've created it, but if you spent 80% of efforts on developing robust, working and top quality product/service, the remaining 20% of promotional efforts will be more than enough to move the whole machine to success.

I agree. As the law of compensation states:

The amount of money you earn is in direct ratio to:

    1. The need for what you do
    2. Your ability to do it
    3. The difficulty there would be in replacing you

If you focus on bringing value to the market place then the market place will reward you.
