Who Are Your Friends?

We all have friends, but how well do we know them. If you are in a position to trust your friends are you sure that they will have your back?

We all want friends. A friend that can respect your values, Not a friend that pleases people by trying to look "cool" without caring it negatively affects you, A friend that congratulates you after every milestone.

The following are steps that I use to choose friends.

1. Choose a Friend with the Same Values as You.
2. Choose a Friend who encourages you.
3. Choose a Friend that share similar interest.
4. Choose a friend that can celebrate your Success.
5. Avoid people who are manipulative.
6. Avoid people who love to gossip.
7. Choose a friend with common goals.
8. Choose friends who always want to gain more knowledge.

If you can find the time please tell me if the post on (8 Simple Steps on How to Choose Friends Wisely. | Art of Personal Living.) is on point.

    Some pretty good guidelines there

As the old saying goes, "you're the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with"

That's why surrounding yourself with successful people is such a crucial component of being successful

Wasn't it "you're the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with"?

I can see a #5 be used to promote your business, if you play it correctly

Thanks for the post. In addition as much as the qualities you mentioned aid you in making a choice of friends some wise person once said to me that your enemies are also your friends because if anything they are the ones that really are honest and tell you the truth if you are wise enough to listen and because they tell you the truth if you heed what they say they can help you become a better person more than your friends. Most of our friends are afraid to tell us the truth because they are afraid to hurt us.

Great guidelines. On the road to building your online empire you have to be serious about the friends you have. Your friends will either tear you down or they will help you to build up and keep moving forward.

I have a very serious no negativity policy. If you're going to be negative and tell me that something that I want to do cannot be done I will let you out of my life. When I'm hustling, I need no negativity.

Numbers 2,3,6 and 8 are on point. I don't want to be around with people who always talk about other people's misfortune. I want to be around with people who make me want to learn something new and improve myself for the better.

I always choose friends who won't be a bad influence for me. I don't make friends easily because I'm an introvert. It takes time before I could totally call a person a "friend."
