At what point did you realize you were successful?

When I was old enough to walk and talk. I didn't know what at that stage but I knew it to be true.

Unfortunately, in this point of my life I still can't say that I am a successful person.

Welcome to the club. I spent almost a decade as a white collar in sales. Instead of becoming filthy rich, I became filthy unhealthy. I have to deal with the high blood pressure issues on a daily basis. Yet, I'm lucky to be alive. Some of my more "successful" ended up in hospitals all over the world. Now, I write. This is something I've always wanted to do. And yes, I still dream about a success, just a different kind. A successful novel or a movie made based on my novel. I changed my priorities. Honestly, I think that the most important thing is to work on your success rather on someone else's. Your definition of success doesn't necessarily have to work for me and vice-versa. Right?

Can't say I am yet. I'm relatively more successful than most others though since I eat three meals a day, have a computer and an internet connection, and somewhat financially free and self-employed.

I'm still making "Earn (target income I won't disclose)", "be wealthy enough to travel to the best places in the world", and "have great relationships" as part of my goals so I'll consider myself "successful" then. At least, until I move my goals further.

(Note: I believe there's a difference between "success" and "content." The former is ever changing, the latter is to be avoided.)

For now I can't say I am a successful person. But I learned many things from my work. You never say it that you are successful because you are learning something new everyday. It may never end.

That’s an interesting question. I’ve never really thought of myself as being successful or unsuccessful. I have goals I want to attain and I have good days and bad days, but I’m happy most of the time because I’m surrounded by people who love me. And though I work more than I did when I was running in the corporate rat race, I know I’m doing it for me and the people I love, which makes it a win in my book.

So, if I look at it that way, I do think I’m successful. When did it hit me? Right now LOL

But there’s still a lot more I want to do and I certainly want to become even more successful

I too spent a lot of time working for corporate. Making less than half of what I was worth and being treated even worse.

I left corporate about 4 months ago and managed to increase my income by almost 4x since then.

I realized when I was successful when:

I was able to not only survive on my own income but have enough to hire people.

I was able to work 12-14 hour days without ever complaining.

I was able to start doing what I wanted to do, when I wanted to do it.

I also felt successful when I started gaining notoriety for my services and people would come to me saying "Hey I saw you on" or "I read your article on".

I realized I was successful when I could afford to spend more time at home than at work. I can be comfortable with what I'm making and still have enough left over for savings. My daughter is growing up with a full-time parent who can be there for every school event. That for me is the measure of sccuess.

I struggled to make ends meet but the very instant I programmed myself with cosmic manifestation hypnosis, I leaped to another income bracket faster than I ever thought possible.

Success is determined by yourself. Not by others. For example: You can be a successful father but lousy son. A successful employee but lousy husband.

No one can define success accept yourself. To me to be successful you need to be all rounder. It's hard and only a few good man ever did it in history.

Sounds like you are working with the Law of Attraction. I used the law to quit the city and work from home. I also used it to make myself financially independent.
However the law can work in strange ways. A heart attack helped me quit the city and a major gut operation helped me become financially independent!

When I can do and buy whatever I want and go whenever I want without having to care about the bills.

I realized I was successful a few months ago. The past few years I've put off starting a family, taking my relationship to the next level all because I wanted to pursue financial freedom instead. I was focusing on generating as much income as I could before doing any of those things.

It wasn't until two months ago that I talked to someone who opened my eyes to the world and what life is really about. Success to many is defined as having financial freedom, buying whatever you want, and doing whatever you want at any time that you please. As I was talking to him , he asked me what the end goal of making as much money as I can would do for me.

Aside from telling him that I wanted to retire early and live a happy life, he totally floored me with saying - "many people focus too much on money and making a living, but at the same time they forget to live."

That really opened my eyes to what I had and how much more fortunate I was than many of the people I know. I have friends who are supportive of what I do, a girlfriend who supports me when I work hours and hours on end, a family who is in great health and that I'm super close with. That day my definition of success totally changed. It's more than money now, it's the wealth that you get by being surrounded by amazing people, having money to do things you want to do without being too extravagant, and just living life the way you want.

If you've struggled for success for years and don't feel like you're going anywhere, take a step back and look around you, maybe you'll redefine the meaning like I have.

Realized it when outdoors during barbecue. I was celebrating the exodus of my past, when I realized I listened to a calling and days after found my master.

It was then that I knew the game had changed and I was shooting a fish in a barrel.

Hello there! I began to realize my success after venturing into affiliate marketing. I was able to earn more with less stress and have more spare time to spend with my family! I guess it's all about finding the right career path combined with the right people who can help. Fortunately for me, I'm signed up with an awesome affiliate company...
