Daily rituals lead to achievement?

So it's pretty clear that I'm in the company of some very established and successful people in this forum. I just wondered if anyone has any daily rituals that they credit their achievements with?

Do you attribute your success to daily meditation or exercise, or is your success simply all about acting with energy and enthusiasm and getting the job done?

Personally, for a couple of years now I've started my day with an inspiring or educational podcast over my morning coffee, and I always end the day with a meditation and deep-breathing session which enables me to clear my mind and recharge for the next day.
I am always learning something new and try my hardest to remain in a relaxed state while doing it!

I'd love to hear what everyone else gets up to outside of those crucial working hours which they believe helps them to achieve?

    Smoking copious amounts of ganja.

I don't actually get much work done, but I believe that I am. Isn't the belief all that truly matters?

If you can pay your bills with belief, Frank, then who am I to argue?

Thank you for making me smile with your posts!

Fortunately, outside of monthly living expenses, which are more than adequately covered, I have no bills. If you are still facing extraneous bills at my age, you did not plan well for your 'golden years.' lol

        It's what I do. I'm a giver. :-)

I've decided to eat a big really healthy breakfast instead of a small unhealthy one. (less dairy, less sugar, more veggies and I made the switch to whole wheat bread).
By doing so I feel better and more energetic for longer period of time, a thing that lets me work more and better throughout the entire morning until lunch.

He he, wise words from the Cookie Monster himself!!

Seriously though; I couldn't agree more with this.

Good nutrition is key to optimising brain function and has proven performance based results.

I can always tell if I go off course with my nutrition as it effects every area of my life including sleep, energy levels and productivity.

I will always start the day with eggs and veggies or oats and fruit. Good protein keeps me full for longer and like you say, keeps you working for longer.

Great advice, thanks for your input

I get up and get started the minute I wake up where possible to get the most out of my fresh brain.

About an hour after starting, I take about two hours off to organise other areas of my life, go for a walk, cook or just do something completely mundane to get rid of all of the personal 'to do's' in my life so I can spend from 11am to around 3pm solidly working.

I break up my day in blocks now, however find if I spend a bit of time project managing throughout the day if helps me achieve goals.

Sorry. 'minute I get up' and 'fresh brain.' don't compute for me.

I need 30 minutes and a very strong cup of joe, just to get the wheels spinning.
