Do you need a mentor to make it on-line and are there any good ones out there ?

Having bought products ,ebooks and systems and done nothing with them over the years . I have at last started to blog . Blogging is a great tool and i really enjoy it. I got into blogging through being on a mentoring program. Needless to say it was not a good program and I did not earn millions as the mentor suggested but I was introduced to blogging.

I have been in a few mentoring programs and tried a few courses but there always seems to be one thing lacking in these programs and that is personal help when things go wrong. i know that with all courses or programs the teacher shows you exactly the way they have done things and then it is up to you to take that information and adapt it to your own personal work. Great but what happens when
A the tech side of it goes wrong and you don't have a clue how to put it right. Most programs have help sites with them but they don't always have the time or money to help you personally . So you could get stuck on something simple but you don't know how to put it right .
or
B you have no idea what you are doing wrong and need somebody to look at your site/blog to tell you what is the next thing to do.
So are there programs out there that can provide these services and do you realy need a mentor to make it on-line ?
Let me know if there are and what are the best ones or the ones that do help you with these problems and help you to make money.

I believe you can do it without a coach, and you can do things faster and better with a good coach. I've coached people in the past (not in the IM area), and besides general stuff, everyone has moments where you are completely stuck, and need someone who's looking at the situation from a distance and who puts things in perspective and guide you. A good coach will not do your work for you, but will help you to learn how to do it.

On the other hand, the warrior forum (a.o.) seems to be a very good place to ask questions about all IM related topics. Even just reading the questions of others and the answers that have been given can be helpful.

no need for mentor daio. invest your money wisely. even you hire a mentor, they wont give you everything, especially their tactics that has a huge contribution to their success. Invest your money with tools that can improve your campaigns and blogs. in the end, just dont give up

Its best to have someone like a mentor or a coach who can meet with you in person and even better has been referred to you.

Too many people promise the mentoring but they fall well short of their stated goals.. not to say all online mentors are like this but the good ones charge some $$$

I agree with you and on our part we must be coachable and put in our best, otherwise it will be wasting time and money. At the moment I have a good mentor Aaron Alexander Ngoh who has sincerely help me on my way on twitter and online marketing.

A good mentor is rare. Think about it. You are rich and successful. Why would you spent valuable time coaching another person that would eventually come up to grab a slice of the pie you are dominating? There must be a valuable enough reason to do so. For example if it were me, i would probably coach my 100% only to my son. As i know, for him to have a skill to survive in society would probably put my mind more at ease rather than a potential competitor.

So put yourself in their shoes. I cannot offer you a good mentor, but i can offer you a good friendship. Daio, sometimes, advice from a helpful friend is better than hundred over money-hungry professionals. Hope that helped

I believe you absolutely need a mentor- you have to learn some way and why not minimise the number of mistakes by learning from someone that already made them

I agree, the smartest people have advisors to help them along the way. A second pair of eyes can be the objective persepctive you need and can prevent you from stupid or expensive mistakes.

I have one and expects me to bring things to every time I speak to him, making it my responsiblity to do work between each session. That also improves my knowledge - let face I wouldn't be on this forum if it was for his guidence.
