What exactly is Money?

What do you think about money?

In my opinion, money is the one single thing I have seen the majority of people
• Look for and never find easily.
• When they find it they spend it impulsively on things they never needed in the first place
• Never invest enough of it back to get more in the long run.
• Opt to spend it on the glitz and glamour to show off to neighbors and friends than on investments that will give back over and over again.

Money is the one thing people either:
• Work so so many hours to earn it and when they get it, they never find the time to really enjoy it OR
• Work the least for it, to get so much of it and have all the time in the world to spend it.

Interesting observations about money
• Most people who have money don't show off, most of those who don't will want to make you believe they do
• Those who are broke and unemployed have some of the most un-catered for neighborhoods, regardless of the much time they have in their hands
• When it came out in 1862, money had to be signed by hand, either by the Treasurer or by anyone the Treasurer designated
• When you start real earning money, it often comes in so many droves you even wonder where it was in the first place when you were struggling
• The rich earn more and more of it; the poor keep NOT having over and over again
• The most commonly used denominations in the U.S. are the $1 and the $20; internationally, it's the $100 note.
• the average life of a $1 note is 18 months, yet it is 9 years for a $100 note

Most people misunderstand money in its entirety.

Its a 'currency' as in it flows like a current.

Therefore it is only a conduit that facilitates a transaction allowing the 'flow' of services or goods between two or more parties.

Therefore the secret to money is keeping the flow of money going in the right direction. Most people in times of uncertainty like we have today stop the flow, and we dont need a long winded explanation to see what happens when the flow stops.

Engage the flow.. or as Shakespeare said..

"There is a tide in the affairs of all men when if taken at the tide leads on to a prosperity"

Money flows very abundantly in our world.

The reason many of us have trouble with money is because we are brought up in a world where the primary beliefs are in scarcity, lack, fear, not having enough. In truth there is no such thing as scarcity because humans are the only living things that think scarcity thoughts. Scarcity is not part of nature, it is not our real nature. Our true nature is abundant.

The purpose of our lives is to learn to flow, to be more of who we really are which is nothing but abundant flow.

    Nice article, NyceGuy.
    Thanks for sharing.

I like Jackie Mason`s "sparkle" about money:
"I have enough money to last me the rest of my life ... unless I buy something."

      Hi,
Money is such a thing that is favorable to all. It is the most important thing to exist in the world. It is the only one thing that can't fulfill the demand of human being according to my opinion. So, people want it more and more even though most are not needed it to go on.

      Regards,
      Pioneer

Simply a mean of exchanging goods between parties. The thing we really chasing is not money. It is what money can give us.

Good point. WHo cares about a wrinkly old smelly germ-infested paper. But money gives us opporutnity, time to enjoy, comfort, convenience, etc.

For me, the most important thing money gives me is time. I dont have to work 12 hours a day like some people just to get by and make sure my family is taken care of...although I certainly have tremendous respect for those that do that. Having money allows me to take off when I want, spend time with family, friends, have flexibility in how I live.

Too often, money is seen as evil because it is often abused or used to harm or simply used for materialistic reasons. But money is soo much more that that.

money is simply the means of exchange to get something of greater value than what you are spending it for... this is called a surplus--which is what capitalism is all about.

once more again money is a means of exchange to get something of greater value (meaning what other will pay more to acquire or produce a higher yiekd value than what you spent can earn with other investments.

To me, money is simply the currency of trade. That's what I really love, trading. I see it as the better I get at trading, money (or whatever currency it is I'm trading in) will come naturally.

I try to never look to gain monetary value for the simple reason that it breeds greed.

It's a means of exchanging value. If we could have the value for free, then we wouldn't need the money. It's also a lot more convenient to carry around a few pieces of paper or a plastic card than it is to carry an ox (trust me, I've tried)
