When is "good enough" good enough?! This is seriously important...

Hey Everyone!

It's Nate again, and last night, someone commented on another thread that I have. His comment, besides made me feel happy to be of service to himself and others, brought me to realization that many people ignore the true "Golden Knowledge" to being able to work from home on their computer.

In this thread, I'm going to bring up a few pointers and concepts that will really make some of you think in a way that will hopefully understand the importance of literature, education, and self-discovering. By the end of this post, you'll hopefully have new thoughts flooding through your mind on what you can start taking action on NOW to hopefully see results in not only your income, but in your over-all well-being as well.

With that said, let's get down to what I'm talking about..

"Earn as you learn", which Sam commented, is my "golden quote". Many of you all have dreams of making an income online. That's why you're here, right? You'll never earn if you don't learn, and if you aren't taking action as you learn, you'll never feel you've learned enough to earn enough! GET TO IT!

The thing with my golden quote, "earn as you learn", is a mindset that most people don't do, simply due to the fact that since they are in the "learning stage", they feel their skills are incompetent and sub-par to what is required to make income online, let alone, create a product for others to purchase.

This is a HUGE problem! Let me ask you one question, and hopefully you'll understand what I'm talking about;

"When is 'good enough' good enough?"

Too many people argue over the matter of what's "good enough", and what "isn't good enough". There in lies the problem itself! No one is ever truly "good enough"! There's always going to be someone who knows something you don't! So long as you know something more than others who have a dream/goal to learn what you know, you can make money!

Thinking forward means to learn, as well as ACT upon a goal you have set a time limit for. If you continue to always learn, but never act, you will never succeed. Thinking forward ties in hand-in-hand with "failing forward".

Let me give you a short story, and see if it really makes you understand what I'm talking about, and how you may be holding a "simple piece of paper" that someone would be willing to pay substantial amounts of money for...

As you read, really think about what I'm saying between the lines, and how you can mold it into your own story with your own experiences and knowledge!

Story:

A man named David (for example) set out to be the first explorer in a new land. Everyone thought that he was crazy, but it was his dream to be the first to go somewhere, and he was willing to do whatever it took.

He set out, looking at his maps of all the known and charted land. David came across a huge mass of land, and it just so happened to be uncharted by any map known in the modern world. This means that there is a gap for him to fill, even though there are millions of printed maps around the world of "new land". This land, specifically, even though it may not be a new continent or country, is uncharted, and he has found a hole that he dreamed of fulfilling.

There are three major requirements when it comes to new land. People are going to want to travel there and see it for themselves. Some may dream of living in an area unknown to the major populaces. The first major requirement is water. Without it, you'll die in a matter of days. The next is Food, which without, you die of starvation within days to weeks, depending on your health/environment. And then, finally, shelter, to get out of the elements of nature.

David goes out, and he first looks for water. As he travels, even though he has no idea where he's going, he keeps track of every footstep, distances, and directions. This allows him to create the basics of a new map, as well as lead him directly back to food, water, and shelter to survive.

After a year, he has found all fresh water sources, locations of abundant food, as well as caves and trees to take shelter in. He also learned skills that he didn't expect to learn, such as what native trees and plants go best together for good food and quality shelters.

To him, he sees this piece of paper with lines, dots, and scribbled notes that he has memorized. To another man who dreams of starting a new life and building his own home without the risk of exploring new land, this paper is exactly what he needs.

David looks at this piece of paper as something that he just created along the way of learning what he wanted to do with his life. However, to the other man, this paper is the answer to his goal, and will get him what he wants in a fraction of the time it took David to make.

End

Let me ask you this... How much is David going to charge for that piece of paper? Would he only sell one? Would he make copies? Would he improve it's quality before selling? Would he sell it as it is to the top bidder? Would he give it away for free, simply to have others enjoy the new world that he has found for himself?

This is exactly what people do with their life. They live. They experience. They learn... They read books that others have written through their life experiences. People learn skills along the way to their main purpose in life, and yet they never write it down! Why?! If you learn something, write it down! Someone wants the shortcut that you found yourself, and they'll pay money for it!

Look at it this way... If I took online courses to make money online, and did nothing but exactly what the course taught, would I make money, or would I be left in the dust by those who innovate and explore new angles of attack with that business? Without a little creativity, nothing will work, because it's copy-and-paste. It means someone else did it, or others are currently doing it.

TIP: Find your niche skill-set that you either already have, or wish to learn. Find several books and courses on it. Start learning everything you can! Put it all together, and take action. Experiment. Discover new things along the way. Then, MAKE A COURSE, BOOK, OR BOTH AND SELL IT!

If your mindset is to copy-and-paste the same thing as EVERYONE ELSE, you will make what EVERYONE ELSE MAKES! What is that? About 5% of people online make serious income. All the rest just want the easy way out, and make nothing, because they don't put in the work, and they don't use their creative minds to think forward and fill in the gaps.

With that said, what are you going to do? Are you going to think progressively, move forward, take action as you learn, write everything down, and build a knowledge base that will help someone in any area of life get to where you are without having to find their own paths? Or, are you going to give someone a roadmap to the water that YOU FOUND? Are you going to help someone find their food? Are you going to teach someone how to build their own shelter?!

Whatever you do, do it with a mindset of helping someone else. I promise you, that if you work your @$$ off, and take notes of the skills you learn, whether it's making money online, a brick-and-mortar business, fitness, relationships, etc., someone will be willing to happily buy that road map from you!

Never give up on your dreams, but more importantly, never forget others have the same dream as you. Nothing feels better than getting to your goal, and helping others along the way. Never stop pushing, either. There's always something new you can learn and achieve in your life. Never settle, because settlers slow down and whither away. Push to be the best with the time you've been given in this life.

Love you all, and I'm looking forward to seeing people achieve their dreams, and pull a few others along the way.

Cheers!

Agreed with that one. I think I've read something similar from Brendon Burchard ("The Millionaire Messenger" book). We all have something to teach, and people need it.

In my case as a writer/blogger, I just think that even though I write about subjects similar to what everyone else does, it's still different from what everyone else can create. It's like painters: They paint landscapes or people, yet each painter will produce a different painting each time.

Nate92 your post is a good reminder that everyone has at least one good book to write. Writing ebooks is also a good way for people to earn passive income. There are so many retirees out there who have a lot of valuable experience and lessons to share that millennials can benefit from: dealing with problems, competition, work/life balance, investment for regular people and etc. Hope they don't think their life and experiences is not good enough in 2016. Life and wisdom is not all about tech.
