Do you manage time, or do you manage yourself?

Time is man's interpretation of something that just happens.

Man has invented "Time" and broken it down into convenient pieces
that can be used to start and end your day, eat and meet someone in one
of those "Pieces", and man-made time allows you to know when
to drop onto your sofa with that beer precisely at the start of the game.

In my opinion, time just "Is", and there is no managing or
controlling something that "Is". The weather "Is", the sun "Is",
and we deal with what it brings - or doesn't. The sun is more
consistent and reliable. Time is also consistent and reliable.

As such, we have periods of light and dark. We can do things
during those light and dark periods. What we do determines
in large part how successful we are with what we do.

How we manage what we do, when we do it, how well we do it,
and how often we do it, can also determine our success.

So, don't blame your successes or failures on not having enough "Time",
just pay attention to what you are doing, and when, and how you are doing it.

  • @ rbates, Can we say " use 'time' , don't get used by it! "

Probably the "time" is one of the biggest invention of human. 24 hours of say 1900, today is almost 100 folds faster. Yet we are not happy with it. Many have become them-self a "time".

Things have to change.. because the life of wheel always rotates. We need to move away from time and use time for greater goods of every day things.

I really like your thoughts, but I don't think that we can actually "Move Away" from time, as
no one step outside of the boundaries of time. What we don't have to do is to
let time dictate our lives as much as it usually does. Time is something that society
has made very important, but do you really need to wear your watch to bed?
(FITBIT being a possible exception ).

I do agree that most of us (myself included) can probably be a bit more "Selfless",
and do more to help others.

      Cheers!

Can't remember who said it, but this is one important point to remember:

    "We all have 24-hour days."

None of us really have "more time" or "less time," it's just that some of us occupy our time with tons of stuff (less time), or we don't do anything much at all (more time).

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that you should fill your "time" with productive activities.

“Time is the most valuable coin in your life. You and you alone will determine how that coin will be spent. Be careful that you do not let other people spend it for you.” ― Carl Sandburg

If you don't manage the use of your time and determine your priorities, other people's priorities may steal your time. Don't let others waste your time and run your life!
