What is your best habit?

by AspiringGreatness 32 replies
What habit do you have that you developed that you are really proud of? And, it helps you work towards your goals?

Mine would be working on my online businesses/marketing for at least 1 hour a day. No matter how busy life gets, dedicate at least 1 hour to yourself and your personal goals.

I think mine is also dedicating at least one hour a day to achieving personal goals. That and being organized.

    Staying positive.

Not that fake don't worry be happy kind of stuff, but rather a real understanding that as long as I have a heartbeat I have at least one thing I could choose to be thankful for.

    That's my best habit.

  • Habit = inflexibility.

Way I see it, an unflinchingly mutable cosmos demands mortal fluxitood otherwise we gonna be swept out away on uninfluenciasm's unthrowa chance.

Plus also, we get to say NO to these demands if we wanna.

But srsly, in answer to the OP: zero beard.

They are so trendy right now but no way am I cavin'.

Some really great posts within this thread. I would say my best habit is being very Neat. I think being neat allows you to be in the proper mindset to fulfill a lifetime of obligations.

I think what he meant by "neat" is perhaps organized? If that is the case, organization is a GREAT habit that attributes to success.

habits can be good or bad .. they always need to be tweaked for effectiveness ..

i eat eggs almost every morning for breakfast ..i work every day and walk 4-7 miles a day while i am working ..i drink while i am working because i tend to make more money in my character.. with a beer in my hand .. and the calories and carbs help keep me walking ..

the path i am on revolves more around consious living .. being aware of what you do.. why you do them ..habits are great if you develop them by design for the way you want to live .. but they can also cement you into a default life because you live habitually while putting your attention on other things .

what you put in your mouth and swallow , what you feed your brain ..what you listen to .. build the body and mind you want ..do you want to leave any of that up to good or bad habits .. or learn to consciously chose it ..

    3. Transfer Cash
    4. Exercise
    5. Wake my daughter.

My best habit that I'm really fond of is waking up early. It took sometime to get my physical self into discipline to make this habit part of my life but with practice and time management I was able to achieve that.

It give me ample time to work on things that I might not be able to complete with a lot of other responsibilities. Early mornings and especially time between 6 am - 9 am is treasure for me because then I work on my freelance projects before resorting to my regular job.

    My best habit is this:

When I get up, take a shower, and eat breakfast -- I walk over to my whiteboard and write a to-do list.

There are 2 main goals that are ABSOLUTELY necessary, and 1-3 others that are secondary.

My goal for the day is to finish my 2 goals (takes at least 3-5 hours) and either walk at the park or stretch.

If I complete my goals, I mark an X on my calendar.

This month I require 17 x's and 4 stars. The stars mean I completed EVERYTHING and more.

Feels like i am a kindergartner!

waking up early, a set daily routine. I really think it helps to succeed.
Another useful habit is to set aside questions that buzz my head. I mean I have a habit to tell myself "stop, I'll get to it later" and stop thinking about something for a while.

I am getting inspired by all these good habits. I am trying to incorporate more good habits in my everyday life. I feel the one habit that is my best, is to push myself when I feel like giving up.

    Good question, OP.

Over the years, I've developed the habit of beating procrastination and being consistent in my efforts.
And that means setting aside time to work towards my goals every single day.

Hypnosis helped me continue in the right direction, even when faced with challenges along the way.

Right now I am trying to create also other habits (like to wake up early, read, meditate every day) but it is hard to develop a discipline :/

Some great posts here. I, like some others here, work at least an hour a day on the business. Taking an action step(s), getting my energy out there, usually will lead to eventual results. It's also important for me to keep other parts of my life nourished: family, friends, hobbies, volunteering....a balanced me is a happier me!
