How to find the balance between professional and personal development?

As a young professional on the grind, I want to constantly be improving my business, but I also want to be improving myself. I feel like, to some extent, these things are intertwined but I worry about getting so caught up in the business side of things that I forget about my own personal growth and stagnate as an individual. Am I wrong to even be thinking about these things as two separate issues? Do I personally develop when I professionally develop, just inherently? Even if that is the case - any suggestions on programs, or seminars I can take to help promote continual growth in both areas?
Do you think that personal development is too individualized to provide advice on? I hope not! I will take all advice and wisdom, readily. As I said, I am a young professional, new to this type of thinking. I believe I will thrive here, but of course need to be forward-thinking and realistic about both my strengths and shortcomings.
To be more specific, I am hoping to personally develop in the following areas:
1. Networking
2. Leadership
3. Public Speaking
4. Management
5. Business Development
6. Investments
Will a lot of this just be learned and developed through trial by error? (Also, don't get the wrong idea. I have a lot to contribute professionally, and especially to the project I am involved with. I am just someone who always wants to be developing. I don't want to come to a stand-still. I always want to be pushing the envelope.
