Integrity = Kindness, Honesty, and Consistency

Over the years, I have come down to a very simple way of life, it is:

Integrity = Kindness, Honesty, and Consistency

That's it.

The more in alignment I am with the principles of integrity, the more successful, powerful, and "self-improved" I become :-)

...thoughts?

I agree, being a person with values can make you succeed. Having all these traits will give you the blessing of success that you deserve. We should consider being kind, honest, and consistent in order to receive the same from other people.

When I was going to the academy to work for the prison system, here in Texas, our instructors continually drove into us that the best way to do the job was to be "Firm - Fair - & Consistent" then after I got to the unit I was assigned to work at I started realizing that these words could be (& were being) interpreted to mean different things to different people (in this case bosses) as some bosses just had a mean streak in them.

Some were better at accomplishing it's true meaning than others but all in all the more successful bosses had these same qualities "Kindness, Honesty, and Consistency" or they were "Firm - Fair - & Consistent" in it's true sense.

The best boss I ever worked with got killed while on his way to work one morning but his ways of doing such a stressful job always impressed me... He was always Firm & did it with Kindness, he was always fair which gave him the reputation that he was honest in his dealings with the inmate, and he was always "Consistent" with the way he dealt with different inmates & situations.

It was this man's expression of himself that always impressed me the most of all the bosses I worked with & I always tried to be just like him (quite unsuccessfully sometimes, unfortunately).

That being said, I was able to experience the honor of being referred to as a boss whom the inmate could trust which is our goals in life in the first place, right? Especially as Internet marketers we must have these traits or find somewhere to learn them from if we ever want to convince our customers to trust us, right?

    Shalom,
    Frank

...my guess is that integrity and "lots of money" don't necessarily go together. It's a "crossing of streams" so to speak. Intelligence and wealth are not the same stream. Money and integrity are not the same stream.

I agree you with the paid back value from obtaining such principles and dealing with it.I think that can give you much support.

Here`s some principles of integrity i think you may like it,

When you make a promise, then you will keep the promise.
Treat others as I would treat myself.
You have to treat others with dignity and respect. You will certainly win laurels among many other individuals.
Listed up your goals and follow them to achieve success.
People have dreams in their minds, but you have to learn to write down your goals and categorize them in steps which are necessary to achieve them. Review them daily and analyze your progress.
      Take personal responsibility and accountability.
You should stand on your own words and avoid blaming others. Do not ever be afraid to admit you mistakes. When you are wrong, confess it and learn from your inaccuracies.
      Honesty is the best policy!
Be honest with yourself and your dealings with others. Do not ever justify your dishonesty. It is always best to tell the truth even if you were wrong. It will strengthen your character and give respect and satisfaction internally and externally.
      You must honor your debts.
You have to pay your debts if you really sincere to yourself and conscious about your honor in society. Discuss with any financial advisor, if necessary and
design a plan to gradually work your way out of debt.
You should be non-pragmatic, loving and caring for people.
We are created by GOD to interact with each other as we are mutually dependent and social beings. So you should not be so selfish to manipulate others for personal benefits. Try to live with love and honesty.

      Regards..

When used as a virtue term, 'integrity' refers to a quality of a person's character; however, there are other uses of the term. One may speak of the integrity of a wilderness region or an ecosystem, a computerized database, a defense system, a work of art, and so on. When it is applied to objects, integrity refers to the wholeness, intactness or purity of a thing--meanings that are sometimes carried over when it is applied to people. A wilderness region has integrity when it has not been corrupted by development or by the side-effects of development, when it remains intact as wilderness. A database maintains its integrity as long as it remains uncorrupted by error; a defense system as long as it is not breached. A musical work might be said to have integrity when its musical structure has a certain completeness that is not intruded upon by uncoordinated, unrelated musical ideas; that is, when it possesses a kind of musical wholeness, intactness and purity.

And is it me? Or is being honest just so much easier? If you're always honest, you never have to "look over your shoulder".

Being honest and having integrity can really take the knots out of your shoulders, make a happier family and do so much more for those who rely on you at home and at work.

After all, people aren't stupid (for the most part) and they know when you aren't being honest. However they know, they usually know.

It's like gossip at work. Don't do it. If you gossip, or engage in listening to it, others will assume you do it too. But if you don't, well let's just say character matters and it gets arouund - the kind of person you are.

And it can be sooo hard to rebuild trust once lost.

    Anyway, off the podium here.

Its not just you! When people are dishonest, the dishonesty becomes a weight that is attached to them mostly until the dishonesty blows over but a little piece of it sticks with them forever.

When you are honest, even when it seems hard in the moment, you get that complete weight off you immediately and forever. Its much easier this way

I ask myself these questions about what I plan to do in business, family relationships or anything else.

Will I be able to look in the mirror and say what I've done is of valuable service to the other person?

Would I be proud to tell my family about it? Would it be a good example to my chidren? Could it inspire them to do something I would be proud of?

Kindness, honesty and consistency are just alright with me.

Yes, i also believe that these three help us to get succeded. It helps also to get heaven and that is why our religion teaches us to be so. I believe these are the keys to be successful both in this life and the life after death. So we all should be kind, honest and consistent.

          Thanks,

Being honest is vital..I turned down a $175 sale a few days ago because I knew it wouldn't product the results my client was looking for...he said he needed to make money in a week otherwise he'd be homeless :-(

With internet marketing comes great power but also great responsibility (spiderman!!)

To me, integrity means always having consistent actions, values, principles and outcomes. Integrity builds trust, and in business, these are key characteristics of success. So I do think that integrity, money and success can all go together.
