How Can You Maintain Your attained Success

Many beginers and average people look at those at the top (successful people) as people who have no problem at all. They thing that being the head or making a success of life or an assignment mean not doing much work again.
Our young ones need to know that it takes much more to maintain the top position than it takes to get there.
What do you think?
What contribution will you like to make especially if you are one of those at the top?
Is it true that the achievers works harder and have more responsibilities than just the average person?

You see successful people put in all the hard work at the very beginning and gradually as things progresses the hard work lessens and maintenance continues.
When you start a business there are many challenges facing you including the option to give up, but with determination, resilience and persistence you are motivated and everything, or way you can find to promote or improve will be implemented, therefore producing results.
It doesn't get harder over time it gets easier and allows you to relax more and enjoy the success achieved while making little adjustments to avoid loosing out.

Thanks for this reply to the post above but all I am trying to pass accross is the fact that many people coming up tend to look at those at the top as if they are too free and have all the time.

From my own experience, the more success I achieved, the more I have had to work to maintain it.

Yes it is true, when we set a goal and achieved it, there comes a time when we just sit down and enjoy the works of our hands.
But for anybody to get to the real top he will work even harder. Take for example the President of United States of America, the effort spent in becoming the president is not as much as the one he is required to put to be a good and successful president.

Note that winning the votes of Americans and clinching the ticket of presidency is a success already, but to maintain this level of success he needs to work even harder.

I definitely agree with you there. To maintain your level of success you have to sometimes work harder than you previously did. Now obviously you can make your life easier by delegating the tasks onto staff, but then you need to spend a lot of time to manage staff. However, the trappings of success bring the freedom and luxuries that keep you motivated to keep on going...

I think that when we are "successful", we have to work harder, but at a different level.

We worked hard to get to where we are right now, to go to the next level we have to work even harder, I think, to keep it all that running smoothly; and sometimes of course we need additional hands and/or brains to keep the ball rolling.

      My two cents.

Success can be like a drug. Some people will get drunk on their success and forget to continue doing the things that brought them success. These people are addicted to the high that success brings.

Others can be like social drinkers. They over-indulge in their success on occasion, but can keep things in perspective. I think these people also have a tendency to give back in many ways.

I think the only way to maintain your success is when you truly follow your heart and do what your mind agrees with.

If you do something just to achieve it... it won't last long and you will soon lose it again. Just think of diets. People lose weight just to put them on again, the reason is that they don't think what they truly want but what the media dictates them to do.

so, no matter what you do, do it the way you really LOVE it... your mind and heart should agree with your decision because only then you can be successful.

Our young ones need to know that it takes much more to maintain the top position than it takes to get there...and they need to be constantly reminded of this fact (remember they are the short attention span, instant gratification generation!)

What contribution will you like to make especially if you are one of those at the top?

Find ways to connect with them at a level they're able to understand while still imparting these very serious life lessons. I've been a mentor for nearly 10 years now and hope to be blessed enough to give more service and time.

Is it true that the achievers works harder and have more responsibilities than just the average person?

They work smarter for sure and they do have responsibilities primarily to themselves. They take themselves seriously and that's why they take everything else seriously...the rewards follow.

The "average" person could be successful if they had the discipline to do the things that count on a regular basis, but that's where the problem lies - People can't.

Internet marketing is the classic example.

people hop from one opportunity to another, from one guru to another forgetting that the guru is a guru because they are constant and focused.

Life really isn't that difficult, neither is success.

It's us that get in our own way and that's a message the young 'uns need to hear and "get."

Success comes to those who are really. To be really means opening yourself to challenges and turning them into opportunities as they occurred. The young generation is too anxious to succeed without first getting a solid grounding in experience. However this has much to do with how technology accelerates the pace in everything we do. Well, always be really just in case.

How can you maintain success? YOU CANT.. its a business, it will have downfalls and high peaks. Just the nature of it.

Tho i WILL tell you one thing.

In the beginning you are over-worked and under-paid and later on you are under-worked and over-paid.

Take that for what you will...

    • Many successful people will say that the work of getting there is the biggest challenge, and that the habits acquired 'on the way up' make maintaining consistency a much easier thing.
    • My contributions will have been made long before 'getting to the top', because that's the only way to make it there - through the Service of providing enough other people what is useful and helpful for them.
    • Those who have not mastered the Power of Thought miss out on the powerful wisdom that allows one who HAS mastered the Power of Thought to spend less time in labor, and more time in Contemplation. They who THINK themselves to Success rely far less on the hustle of labor, and more on the muscle of creative innovation. Because they make their way up the ladder by coming up with solutions to resolve problems in the lives of OTHER people, that same habit of creative thought reveals the less rigorous path to consistent Success for THEMSELVES.
