Greed is good, but Kindness is better.
I have to admit that I'm deeply disappointed how many Gordon Gekko types of people I meet on a daily basis. It seems that greed is good principle has become the guiding principle of our civilization and our businesses. This is really a sad thing to hear and acknowledge.
Yet, you may think that I'm a helpless optimist, but just like John Lennon used to say, I sure hope I'm not the only one when I say that kindness is still a better option. You may not get rich as you hope, but you're certainly going to feel better about yourself. Actually, I think that our kindness can award us with the unexpected business opportunities.
I believe that with this new approach I would find new listeners. Now, if I fail this doesn't mean that I'm going to blame my kindness approach. If it takes to be Gordon Gekko to be successful, then I choose not to be successful.
How about you? Do you feel and think the same way?
