Nothing Is Ever Wasted. You Can Use Any Skill Or Talent You Have For Success
I just came to the realization that when you make use of every bit of skill, knowledge and experience you have in your arsenal towards your goal, you will get there. Even if the things you have in your toolbox aren't considered by most as the "right set" of tools, if you have the creativity to build something new, the ingenuity to think out of the box, and the courage to strike out into uncharted territory, you will find success. Not only that, you'll find yourself blazing a trail for others to follow.
When I started working online, I didn't think my science degree and technical writing skills would be useful. I didn't have a business background. But I chose to leverage on the skills I already have, build on them, and learn everything else I needed to learn along the way.
Now, I can honestly say I'm living the life my peers can only dream of. I'm making more than enough for myself and my family. I can work anytime I want, where ever I want. And now I have people approaching me to train and mentor them so they can learn how I work online and how I manage to juggle everything: work, family, advocacy.
