Tony Robbins Discusses Sylvester Stallone's Success Story

When it comes to the power of intentions, I think Sylvester Stallone's biography is one of the best. Here's a YouTube video of Tony Robbins discussing Sly's "rags to riches" success story:

You know a man has a strong sense of purpose and belief in himself and his vision when he's willing to turn down a $125,000 offer on his Rocky movie script, despite the fact that he's living in a state of poverty, because the offer doesn't completely match his vision. A couple of weeks later, they came back with another offer of $250,000 dollars for his script. Again, their offer didn't match his vision for himself so he turned them down. Then they came back again with yet another offer of $325,000 dollars for his script. Again, their offer didn't match his vision for himself, so again he turned them down. He turned them down several times until they finally came back with what he really wanted, albeit at a MUCH lower selling price.

Can you even imagine the courage that would take? To turn down that amount of money when you're completely broke, all because you want to stay true to your original vision for yourself? I find that fascinating and so inspirational. And we all know how it worked out in the end, don't we? He made the right decision.

This man came across his share of obstacles and naysayers just like Arnold Schwarzenegger did on his road to success. And I love what he told Tony Robbins about that: "The greatest revenge is massive success." Doesn't that make you smile?

I love Sylvester Stallone's success story. And I love all the Rocky movies, too. So inspirational. Such great examples of how to overcome obstacles and keep moving forward in life.

It's smart and makes you stronger instead of you trying to carry out revenge which only hurts yourself. I have heard this saying over and over again. Powerful stuff!!!

I love this story. The more I read it, the more I see that there is nothing we cannot do.

I mean they were able to overcome many obstacles, and now they are living the lives of their dreams.

Yes, the Elon Musk video was pretty inspiring, no doubt this is as well.

True, that massive success clobbers the negativity, and is probably the only thing that will?

You can talk to someone who doubts your goal til you are blue in the face, but when you plonk 10k on the kitchen table then the crap disappears and reality sets in.

Well, after he or she says it was dumb luck, and after a few more years of more proof it isn't luck.

Maybe after years of the new cars and Mansions and holiday houses and so forth it might finally sink in?

Or maybe it never will, but surely someone can't think that it is dumb luck indefinitely.

if they are a dumb fox or a stupid fox..they will hold to it being dumb luck..and if they are totally full of Sugar Hunny Iced Tea ..when they come around they will claim they always knew you would do it ..

in any case the only people you need to convince are those who will invest in you if you need investment and those who will buy from you ..a lot of successful people don't even convince their partners until the money starts coming in .

you create your own luck ..to win the lotto you need to at least buy a ticket ..

My family does not believe i am capable of anything..thats why i am at least 1000 miles away from any of them now .. i spent 37 years trying to convince them i am capable of stuff..it is just not construction work , landscaping , or house cleaning ..

there are a hell of a lot more successful people than you would think by listing to motivational guru's most though hit there mark and stop trying to explain it to people who don't get it .. no matter how much money the don't get it's have ..

Lotto, lol, yes best system on the planet would give you a shot at first division every 30 years, unless the supps, mess it up, then maybe another 30, (l have run the numbers).

Yes, reminds me of Brewster's Millions, where the guy reading out the will to the washout baseball player, tells him that he disappeared from the family 30 years ago and ended up owning 300m in cash in a bank vault, well 301m.

Also true most if not all of your so called friends disappear also, well all of your financially ok, or reasonably well off friends.

But family, they are stuck with you and you them. So every Xmas the knives fly. Well not in my family.

My family, my Mother can see what l am doing now, and is supportive, finally! My brother is a know it all, and as such, apparently knows everything about online success, (eventhough he mainly does video editing and uses it sparingly).

So since he knows everything, and knows what l am doing won't work, he never discusses it.

He will tell us everything about his latest project and such and that is about it.

All he really see's is a broke, idiot that will get no where, lol.

Not someone who recently completed a cert, 3 in micro business management, and has a 2 year profit, loss excel chart, showing that my business model works.

So much so, that next year l will exceed his income.

And after that, well, l don't slave away every day to make someone else rich, l will work a few hours a day, or pay someone else, and every year the income grows, and not by a p***y one or two k a year.

I would say that my naive brother is in for some shocks, and his dumb friends, that keep telling each other that if you don't get a stupid job now it will be too late.

well both my parents transition 3 years ago they where together 40 plus years apart 4 months and argued every day they where together ..

i am a much different person no than 14 months ago when i got on the plain to move to vegas ..and frankly don't want to spend any time with my family if they put me back in the box of who i was then .. my parents house had a bad mold problem and was basically poisoning me and everyong else for the last 5 years .

i also took care of my parents the last few years of my life ..and got to figure out just how my parents screwed me up..so i then worked out how to fix it..i also was able to see what a mess retirement is ..

so i have my life plan that does not include retirement ..or living on a fixxed income watching most of it go to medications and doctors bills

Yes, retirement, usually entails going broke, having a s***house quality of life, and burdening your friends and family for medical and house repair costs.

And of course on hot and cold days, you can look forward to going down to the local shopping ctr, and staring at a wall all day.

Nope, l will reach retirement levels next year, and then move on to bigger and better things.

here is the thing unless you die from some sellf inflicte lifestyle diseas in the next 15 years .and a lot of people are on that route who have western world tastes ..because if you live in the western world 90 persent of the diseaes you have are based on lifestyle choices ..and at this point it looks like most people are trying to kill themselves by what they put in their mouths ..

so most people are on the suicide by eating crap food life term .. because they fear running out of money in retirement a hell of a lot more than death

now if you get off that plan.. there i a good chance you can live untill 100 year ..120 or 150 and maybe later

soforget retirement .. at this point you either have a lifstyle that will kill you by 70 ..or you have one that can support you for almost twice that

Yes, and others put crap in their mouths, since they don't believe in anything beyond death and welcome an early departure.

My brother came over today, (Mothers Day) and the discussion went into owning a house, (which is out of most people's reach at present in AU) and retirement.

My brother rents and will most likely be doing so for the rest of his life, and retirement, lol, give that another 15 years til he can get the pension.

I will be earning enough next year to semi retire, or only need to put in a few hours a week.

But just like Elon Musk, l intend to scale up quickly.

Ironic thing is he works, (my brother) for someone who took big risks to create a successful cinema, (chain now) in AU.

As usual he didn't ask about what l was doing, lol. In the next few years when he see's a new BMW in the driveway l think he might?

True, but l would only get my brother the 15" inch, 1tb one, or would need a spare 4.5k. Sure l could give that to him, before getting the car.

But as for getting one myself, not at the moment, l already have a new high powered Toshiba laptop. But when that breaks down, and Microsoft is still on its bender, l will go over to Apple.

But considering his stance, my business and myself will come first.
