Procrastination

"The Antidote ..."

One of the greatest challenges to
success would have to be procrastination.
People start out being enthusiastic
however then procrastinate and eventually
give up on their goal(s). As it's been
said:

"Procrastination is the enemy
of success."

It's my belief that people procrastinate
because they're not doing something they're
passionate about enough. And don't have a
strong enough "Reason Why." For most
People simply "making money" isn't a
strong enough motivator.

If you want to blast through your
procrastination, then choose a venture that
you're so passionate about, it will keep
you going and taking action no matter what
happens. As it's been said:

"Stop making excuses for why
you can't get it done and start
focussing on all the reasons
why you must make it happen."

For instance my "Reason Why"/Mission is:
"To empower and inspire as many People
as humanly possible."
That keeps me
perpetually enthused and taking action.

If you haven't already create your
"Reason Why"/Mission statement. It can be
anything that inspires/motivates you. One of
the most important components to being
successful and motivated is providing
something tremendous to your Market/People.

Knowing that you're really helping People in
Life is a wonderful feeling that will keep you
taking action and experiencing more
satisfaction and fulfilment than just making
money. As Norman Vincent Peale said:

"The really happy people are those
who have broken the chains of
procrastination and find
satisfaction in doing the job at
hand."

Well don't all respond and Thank me all
at once. (Lol) Seriously though I'll leave
    you with this quotation from
    Steven Redhead:

    "The difference between
    Success and Failure is not
    giving up."

i do not have the luxury of procrastinating right now so i do not have anything to right about not procrastination .

my former roomates girlfriend found my money stash in my apartment a week a half ago ..so i went from being up to date on my rent and getting ahead ..to being late ....next whammy is even though i am hustling 8 10 12 hours a day the money sucks right now ..

to top that off it of the las vegas government casino owners and prpety owners are useing the police to push street performers off the strip ..so it is only a matter of time before i can't make money doing what i am doing ..

even with all this crap happening the money loss and the inconvenience all educational experiences .. and i will be better off in 2 3 or 4 months than i would have otherwise ..the crap that happens to me at this point is all stuff i can compost into the soil around my tree of live.. to grow a bigger better life ..

right now i like hustling so much every day but i was already aware i needed to find the next thing to move onto

one thing i have learned over the last few years is to develop my instincts and over the last year i have gotten much better at honing and listening to them ..and with that now when i look over my goals ..my instincts and my ego are telling me to throw my goals out and set much bigger ones .

    so procrastination is a luxury

I think procrastination also comes from wanting to know every single step of the path before you get started, like wanting everything to be perfect, but that makes you stand in place and not do anything, not go anywhere
    I totally agree with you

Interesting point. Thanks Rob. : )

A quotation that I love from Gary Halbert (TheGaryHalbertLetter.com) is: "You don't have to get it perfect, you just have to get it going." (You can always improve it over time.) I could be wrong however I think for many people wanting to get everything "perfect" is linked to the fear of failure.

i think it is less fear of failure and more likely expectation of failure ..with so many list out now of what it takes to be successful..in anything ..it is easy to read all of these list of 10 thng you need for success .. and after only haveing 4 5 or 6 thing on each list ..pretty much write yourself off as a failure .

why bother if you are just going to fail .

think about weight loss and why so many people have given up on losing weight ..it has been turned into such a hard prepossess and the typical diet mimics the famine conditions ..so your body basically thinks you are now starving ..if you cut calories and eat less calorically dense foods .. then add intense workouts your body goes into a survival mode that worked well for the last 200,000 years ..and when you go back to eating normally you gain it all back and then some so your body has extra for the next famine ..

so someone who has failed time and time again at one thing may not be willing to try new things

Well that's "Life" (and Internet Marketing). As I once heard from Winston Churchill:

Success is the ability to move from one failure to another without loss of enthusiasm.

    "Procrastination is the enemy
    of success."
It's not truly the enemy of success, but the northern star telling you what you're doing isn't your calling/passion/purpose. If you're doing something you're meant to do (that means you love it and would do it even without the possibility of monetary rewards) you won't procrastinate.

"The really happy people are those
who have broken the chains of
    procrastination and find
satisfaction in doing the job at
    hand."
Not quite. The really happy and joyful people those that have stepped out of the herd of sheeple and have searched and found their calling/passion/purpose. Finding satisfaction in the job at hand is only temporary, unless it's your calling/passion/purpose.

You're pretty close, but I think it doesn't work unless you're doing what you're made to do. The only true cure for laziness and procrastination is finding your calling/passion/purpose.
