I believe everyone of us has a role to play in life. When you work for a company, you have a role to play, whether you are an admin guy or director. When you start a business, you have a role to play too.

I think that what makes a person valuable is when he or she achieved the goals that they have set for themselves in the beginning, contributing something to the company, family or any other community.

Agree Markloius! Character is more valuable than talent. Character will let you reach higher grounds. What makes a man valuable is his network. Recall that your net worth is a function of your network. A network can only grow with the right character!

Yeah, Character and personality will build a person a value. It may sound too good to be true but I know a lot of people who have both in a good way.

I think what makes a person valuable is the contributions he made to society. If he is successful in his own right but hasn't shared it with anyone, he doesn't have any value to anyone but himself.

    I love Jack Chua's threads!

From my point of view, what makes each and every single one of us valuable is our ability to know and experience life.

This is also said as... our potential for enlightenment. For perfection. Yes I know it can seem impossible but I assure you, I have witnessed enlightened people. They are amazing and you know what they all say?

True. Good Contribution. Reminds me of the William Churchel quotation: "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give."
