Beliefs that hold you back

I was thinking of limiting beliefs that I have seen in myself and others that can only hold us back from success.

Here are several of them:

1. Believing that successful people are somehow different from themselves. This is a biggie! I always used to think that if someone was successful it wasn't down to hardwork or persistence or anything like that but just due to luck. That I couldn't possibly do what they do or live like they do.

I thought that because I wasn't a naturally outgoing person I couldn't be successful. John Reese recently posted on the warrior forum about how he won't do many public speaking gigs due to the fact he is by nature introverted. When you hear things like this then you realise that you are no different than any of these gurus, you just have to follow in their path and get down to some real hard work.

2. This has never a belief of mine but you often see those who hate anyone who is ultra successful and thinks it is undeserved. I'm not talking about people posting that they received poor service from some marketer but those who immediately criticise anything that a successful person does or says. You see this quite a lot in the review section of the warrior forum. You can often tell that these haters are actually just insanely jealous.

3. A third common limiting belief is that the world owes them a living. This is evidenced a lot on the forum as well. Its those people who whine about receiving a great free product just because they have to sign on for some magazine subscription or something else similar (which they can cancel anyway). For example alot of people were complaining when Mike Filsaime was offering his butterfly marketing manuscript free with his forced continuity magazine.

Any other beliefs that anyone can add?
