Risk is subjective, maybe some consider it risk, others consider it part of daily life. Entrepreneurs in general think of 'risk' as nothing more than doing business most of the time.

So, if you feel like you're taking risks, you're probably not risking enough yet... it should be a natural part of achieving what you want. It's quite a risk just to jump off the 'employment' ship and go it on your own, so once you get past that, just keep on doing what you need to succeed - as long as it's ethical. I've been self-employed for most of the last 20 years.

Exactly. You can do whatever you want in your life, as long as you are determined to learn how to do it. So many get boxed into the rigid rules of how they *think* things are, and therefore never accomplish anything. It's sad, that so people are alien to what it is to enjoy life. Those who realize, however, that we CAN break free, that we can do whatever we apply ourselves to do... there are no limits as to what can be achieved.

You can do whatever however you feel like and get to extreme heights in life. Though I think luck and destiny do play a good part in it and you can see that with many successful people today. But I think that if you are true to your work, and work hard sincerely then you should have no problems reaching your goals in life.

You have to know WHICH actions will produce the results you want. When you think you know that, then you have to try stuff out and see if your ideas work or not. (That's where the risk comes in; not everything will work the first time.)

Then keep what works and figure out how to do different things that didn't work the first time, but keep moving toward your goal.

Fear of failure is no reason to allow yourself to fall into paralysis!

Just pick strategies that don't cost much to try; that way you won't be risking cash, only time. Easier to lose, for most folks.

Just my 2 cents worth today. From experience (both good and bad.)

Thanks for a great info, sometimes I feel that I have something that hard to be done. but then I take my self relax and even take a sleep for a while. and when I wake up I have a full energy to do anything I want to have it done. So I think maybe I was just tired ;-D

I'm still trying to get my head around the lack of limitations for online business. I believe that part of the problem stems from the generally accepted idea of how difficult it is to run a business.

If you're building a business in the 'real' world, factories have to be built, resources have to be acquired, products have to be manufactured and warehoused, dealers have to be signed up (or shops have to be leased), phones have to be manned, orders have to be shipped, and so on.

In the 'real' world, business takes its time, costs a lot of money, requires much knowledge, depends upon other people and carries high risk. This is the idea that many of us have grown up with: "Business is big, slow, risky and very expensive".

But there's a big difference between the 'real' world and the 'virtual' world that I'm still trying to get my brain to accept....

In the online world of information products, there is no "raw material" to be sourced, shipped and processed. Factories are not needed because there is no manufacturing. Warehouses are not needed because there is nothing to be stored. Shops do not need to be leased and couriers aren't needed to ship products.

All of this means that there are no limits to the number of businesses that you can set up, the range of products that you can offer or the quantity of marketing channels that you can create.

As one book pointed out: "Microsoft doesn't own colossal quantities of land, huge industrial complexes or vast mineral wealth. MS is one of the richest companies in the world based on nothing more than ideas."

Mind-blowing.

Well, it's not JUST about taking action. It's also knowing the difference between actions that bring results, and actions that do not.

Anyone can be a busy fool.

Still one good rule of thumb (can't remember the originator) is to ask yourself

"Is what I am doing moving me closer to my goal?"

If it's not, stop doing it.

A very good reminder for me to get off my but and do it, even if it's not perfect...it never is.

Action is always important. Acquiring knowledge is easy and most of us do it but only a few of those people who acquired knowledge are successful. The reason is they implement what they had learned while others do not take any action. Knowledge and action comes together hand in hand. Without any one of them will not help you achieve success in anything.
