2010 Get It Done Club - What do you think?

I've been hearing the Gurus say for awhile now that the reason people fail at IM is because they buy the products to teach them IM but never use them.

I am a big believer in verbalizing your goals. When you say them out loud or write them in a public place the words have a way of inspiring reality. Nothing mystical just you hearing yourself committing to something.

Alot of time the big step from quietly hoping something and going for it is to say it out loud. So if you think its a good idea post you concrete goals for 2010 that you believe you can achieve BUT

Also post how you in general terms are going to achieve it. I'll be the example/ guinea pig

My Goal for 2010 is an income from IM only that will allow me to put away a sizable chunk for my daughter (she's challenged and overcomng daily is the way I like to put it). Concrete thats about $7,000 a month.

My plan is to expand my business with SEO, somearticle marketing, helping others (which always comes back to you) and some CPC marketing along with launching a second site and doing the same kind of marketing all within the first 90 days of 2010.

I didn't give away any techniques or any secrets just gave a broad outline and just the act of writing this down in this public forum has already strengthened my resolve to meet that goal. Also helps that a later date someone in this thread might ask me how I did or am doing with my goals

If you want to join in on the exercise feel free.

Best of luck achieving your goals for 2010. Most people simply either don't take action or give up too soon, which is the reason for their failure.

My goal is to match my fathers income - about $10,000/month. Not necessarily an easy goal, but I told him I would. I'm not going back on it.

      I'm getting it done!

Of course! It wouldn't be complete otherwise. =P

Well, for my main marketing, I want to be generating about $3,000/month - that was if it blows up I won't be at a total loss... To get to this, I should finish my lead magnet, throw up a squeeze page, and drive more traffic.

I don't want to have to throw out a ton of math - so here's the basic plan...

          Main marketing
*Get 50 people who'd be interested in doing a workshop (I'd probably be charging a lot for it ;P),
          *Record the workshop
*Launch the workshop as an info-product
          *Sell from my blog

          Niche marketing
*Use my 12 hour affiliate plan =)

So here are some steps I'm going to be taking...

Right now I'm going to complete my lead magnet, and have it up in 2 hours. I'm going to create the squeeze page+thank you page+download page, and have it completed 1-2 hours after I've made the lead magnet. Then I'm going to make a bonus eCourse for my autoresponder. Then I'm going to drive a ton of traffic, and build authority links using some things I've learned from Stomper.

          Still getting it done!!
          Sincerely,
          -Kris Roxas

My goal this year is to replace my income by the end of the year so that I can focus on my businesses (on and offline) and my family.

I have 2 short term goals to help me achieve that.

The first is to make some money online. Any money would be great, but after reviewing a bunch of products and methods, I've settled on methods 2 and 3 of Matthew Olson's excellent WSO.

Once I have done that, my next goal is to continue building on those methods, and to find a more long term, sustainable business model that will suit my needs and skills. I have several in mind already and am doing research into which will be the best for me.

It is easy to jump around from one system to the next, but I think it's important to learn something well first before you move on to the next thing.

Great point. People tend to try a technique or strategy for too short a time before they move on to something else. Unless you push past the comfort zone almost no strategy will work.

My goal for 2010 is to earn enough so I can move out of my mom's house and get my own place. I'll need about $1700 a month to do it (that's a very nice income in my country!)

The plan is to continue building niche adsense sites for passive income and start my own minisite template business (I'm a webdesigner).

My goal is to offer a revolutionary new product (yes, I have a specific one in mind) and sell 100.000 copies.

How am I going to do this? I'm 2/3rd of the way done with the product. I have to complete the product and prove that it is effective. I hope to do that by the end of January. Then, since the product is unique and takes a very different approach, I believe I can use news media to advertise. So to sell, I'll be using:
    - news releases
    - radio interviews
    - free samples and word-of-mouth

I'm glad for this thread. I feel very much like my new product is my big idea and a chance at a significantly different lifestyle. I have a few friends that have expressed skepticism that it will work and frankly I feel, well I feel a bit like Susan Boyle looked the first time she stepped out on that stage -- like maybe I'm out of my league. I need to keep repeating to myself that 2010 is when I make this happen and not back down or let the voice of doubt creep in.

My goal is to make at least $3000 a month. The challenge here is not that I don't have the skills/knowledge/patience to achieve this, it's the lack of time what with my day job and a small baby.

Anyways my plan is to turn my current HTML -> WP conversion service into a monthly membership site. $100 x 30 members = $3000. I will be setting up 2 WP review sites every month for the members.

One of my goals for 2010 is to create enough income to cover my current living expenses which equates to earning about $60-$70/day through affiliate marketing at least before Valentines Day using bum marketing. I plan on using some of my tax refund to outsource projects as well as do my share of building a successful business to kinda clone my own efforts for double exposure.

I have a full time job but for the first few months of the year I will be financially in the position to not NEED my job because at that time, I will be earning more money online than I will be from this job. I plan on continuing my employment until I have consistently made money and increased my profits for a year straight. I can't wait to see how it feels to know that I am working on a job that if fired, I will still be ok.

I will be moving on to PPC by the summer of 2010. My daily earnings will be on average, $200-$400 (or more) at this time. During this time, I will create my own product as well as a membership site for people to come and get inspired, uplifted, motivated in different aspects of life.

In this mist of all this, I will be investing money, time, and effort into a family restaurant and other offline family businesses that I see me and my family can capitalize on to create more income.

And December 2010, I will post here to update everyone on how it feels to follow through on a plan for once in my life.

I participated in a thread similar to this in Sept '09 and said my goal was to earn $1000/mo by Jan. 1. I'm only up to about $400/mo now, but I definitely took action because I had posted my goals. Holding myself accountable publicly was a great motivator!

My goal for 2010 is to get up to $4000/mo.

    My plans are:
    - To expand the website that is an offshoot of my offline business and to continue to develop the affiliate opportunities there.
    - To build mini-sites related to my main site and to leverage the knowledge I already have in that field
    - To slowly expand my PPC campaigns as I gain more experience
    - To get serious about building my list
    - To continue and improve my article writing and link building.
    - To learn more about RSS
    - To learn enough about Twitter to make it useful to my businesses
    - To continue to use all the great tools I bought last year and to not buy any new tools unless I have a concrete plan of how I'm going to use them

    Thanks for starting this thread!

My goal is to get two successful teleseminars up and running by April 1st. After putting on my first, which generated decent return and a boatload of great, original content, despite any number of mis-steps and goof ups, I know I can do it.

Pieces are falling into place for this to work, and taking action to do the first one is what has opened the doors to much greater possibilities.

Also, I've put together a free guide on achieving New Years Resolution success, which can be accessed with out any optin at New YOU Year dot com.

It has been very well received so far. Any feedback would be welcome.

Will be posting a WSO about it as well, which will offer free partial branding and discounted full branding rights.

I'm definately up for this. It would be good if we could be held accountable in some way as well.

My goal for this year is to finally get my finances fully sorted. I would like to be financially independent and comfortable earning around £2000 per month. I also want this £2000 to be somewhat passive income not requiring a massive amount of attention per week to uphold.

This post has reminded me to start developing more clearly defined goals.

I thouroughly recommend any of the guys here read "the 4 hour work week" and "you can have what you want".

In particular the chapter on dreamlining in the four hour work week would be massively benificial. Internet Marketers are already halfway there when it comes to the 4hww, thats how I got into the book.

Hope that someone here pulls me back to here at end 2010 and reminds me to post at end of the 2010 year. Will pop it into my Google calendar to remind me!

Here are my four priority targets for end 2010:
-to grow the My Forward Steps Membership to 500 paid Members who are vibrantly positive people, who love engaging with each other and me, and with all the resources I am providing there,

-to have 1,000 of the site visitors to Time For My Life buy a copy of that book for themselves, and use it each day then write to me at the end of 12-months with their shared experiences,

-to have made a tangible difference to the lives of more than 500 families through my team of 50 people and myself, who are participating at Kiva.org

-to have 300 contributors for, and to have created, published and sold 1,000 copies of each of two NEW books as seen at Spread Wealth And Share Self Growth!

This is a great thread. I'm definitely one of those people that tends to read/learn more and more and not put what I learn into action. This year I'm determined to DO this year, not just read. So my overarching goal is to make a postive income from my IM efforts this year. I'd like to shoot for $1,500.00/month doing this part time (meaning outside of my 60 hr/week job). Given my family life, etc, I'm thinking 20 hours a week or so on IM, give or take depending.

I plan on starting in January using article marketing at first only, then expanding as needed. My goal for January is to have 5 niches live. I'll continue to build some links to these and monitor them. These will be monetized via Clickbank. I'd like to monetize with Adsense eventually as well to add another stream of income, but will likely wait until I'm seeing some results as I don't want to hop around.

At the end of the day, I don't plan on quitting my day job anytime soon (i.e. within the next 2-5 years) but I'd like to suppliment my income enough to help pay down debt and put away money for my kids. Eventually I'd be very interested in created products to market, but that is likely down the road.

Good luck all, and let's have a big 2010 where we all stay focused, take action, and enjoy success!

    Sith005,

Sounds like a solid plan. You might want to look at continuity programs, especially if you have any expertise in those niches. CB products are good, but you might find steadier income in continuity.

Thea's site above looks like a great candidate for continuity promotion if you like her topics. I'll be promoting it.

Some MLM's actually are great for continuity, because they are consumables. Many people gag on MLM, but I've generated steady income from them. The key is finding a good product with good profit margin vs. trying to sell the opportunity.

In the long run, leverage your strengths and separate from the mass just trying to hustle the same products.

    Best of luck in 2010!

My goal is to be making $100/day by the end of the year. I have several websites up and very slowly earning money. Very slowly. My wife and I are trying to start a family, and we are going to be going to a fertility clinic in the next month or so. Basically, that means that any extra money we have is going to that since insurance doesn't pay for it. My wife started a pregnancy website, and her first article made the Ezine most viewed article list in a week with over 5000 views. She didn't get the URL clicks with it though. She did see a bit of traffic for awhile, but that has trickled off lately.

Eventually, I want to join the War Room, but that will have to wait until we can afford it. I belonged to Wealthy Affiliate until a few months ago, when we decided to start a family. At that time, I had to drop it. I learned a lot there, but we needed to save money right now. I'm encouraged by all the information on this forum. I'm glad I joined.

My plan right now is to get more traffic to the website we currently have, and add more niche sites over the next year. I've also been using Squidoo for some sites. I do feel like I've been working in all directions though. I know that I need to stick with one thing right now, I just don't always know what that is.

It was about ten months ago that I first heard of Affiliate Marketing. In some ways, I feel like I've learned a lot, but in others I feel like I have missed a lot. I guess that's always the case with IM.

Hi Mike, thank you for posting this thread it's great getting other peoples perspective! Please before making any further comment can I urge you to look after yourself this year as well.

It's obvious that there are a lot of high intensity, motivated people on the WF who are achieving some great goals and ambitions. But we must watch our physical and mental health, if we only chase the money, whatever the amount it won't be enough.

When I have been thinking about this year I have thought I need to earn $5,000 per month which will mean that I can spend more time with my grandkids'
When we make these income wishes/goals/promises INHO we should be saying in the same breath "because that will mean I can........ you fill in the blanks. I look at the money as the facilitator of all my dreams and ambitions for my family.

In 2010 I will be removing all the distractions from my online life ie unsubscribing from the siren voices of "guru's" who continually plaster my inbox with the latest/greatest offers and follow through on study and learning and not allow myself to hit a mental brickwall as has happened in the past.

Best wishes to you and your daughter

The beginning of a new decade!
    My goals:
    1. Success (minimum $5000) in my first JV launch coming up on my birthday 1/21! Gift to myself!
    2. After success, market my primary opportunity with more confidence, authority and experience!
    3. Work through all of the programs I have purchased and implement at least one strategy from each!
    4. Continue to have an attitude of gratitude for all of the wonderful aspects of my life, including the challenges!
    5. Manifest a mentor to support me in my goals.

    Wendy

p.s. If you aren't living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

My goal is to start my SEO based business with as many niche sites as I can make to replace my low income. I wan to generate about $300-$400 a month with a site with affiliate products to targetted audience in the search engines. Once this is achieved I will just repeat the process to make $5,000 a month. ( about 12-15 niche websites)

The only goal most people know is the one that the football gets kicked through.

The message is simple, "fail to plan and you plan to fail".

I am a little late to this party, but hey I've still got 10 months left this year. My goal is to create a sustainable $100 per day business in 2010. My plan is to promote affiliate products through Clickbank and physical products from Amazon. I'd also like to start a successful blog to promote my own digital products, which of course, I will have to create. I'm completely new to IM, but I believe with a little help I can get this done by the end of the year.

My Goal is to help others this year with what I know and make some money while doing so. This year I am taking a new path away from IM and applying my SEO knowledge into a career full time. I seem to enjoy SEO a lot more anyway

I'm planning to create a $5k/month residual income stream for my neice as well, this year. It will get big enough so she is able to basically spend and live all she wants and not have to worry about it.

After this I am creating a similar one for charity. I will get someone to actually manage the charity (part-time at first) and eventually grow it big enough so that it gives some sizable contributions!
