A simple technique to make your affirmations stick

Hi,

if you ever tried affirmations and thought it took too long for them to stick or if nothing worked, this will so read on...

I'll go right into the meat of this. It's very exciting and it works wonders...

1.) Make sure you won't be bothered in the next 10 minutes or so.

2.) Make a list of 20 statements that are irrefutably true to you. It can be anything like "the grass is green" or whatever. Let it be 20 statements that you know to be true.

3.) Now, while standing, imagine a circle in front of you. Let it be whatever color you like the most and be wide enough so that you can step inside.

4.) Make it your intention to say an irrefutable truth, step into the imaginary circle and right after, say the first statement.

5.) After you finish the statement, make a step backwards out of the circle and clear your mind.

6.) Repeat the process for all 20 true statements.

This way you condition your mind that whenever you make it your intention to tell an irrefutable truth and you step into the circle, everything you say will hold true.

Then you can repeat the process, putting your affirmations in the place of the true statements.

You will have to reinforce the "circle of truth" every now and again by going through the above process again.

This is a very simple exercise but it's very effective.

Try it out and you'll see.

Take care.

A nice bit of NLP you combined with affirmations there. I remember a similar idea with the Disney Strategy anchoring Critic, Dreamer and Pragmatist to physical spaces.

Hi Guys, I just wrote the following and plan to put it in a blog. Is it going to be original content after I post it here? The search engines can't see what it written on this membership site, right? So, anyway....

Did you ever talk to a mirror? I never heard of it until I read "Success Principles for Teens" (I teach driving to teenagers) by Jack Canfield and Kent Healy.
-- An aside here Jack Canfield and his partner Mark Victor Hansen are the authors of "Chicken Soup For the Soul" series. Wikipedia said, "The first book sold over 2 million copies and launched the series. There are now over 100 million copies in print and in 54 languages worldwide. Chicken Soup .. were among the top 150 best-selling books of the last 15 years (October 28, 1993 through October 23, 2008).[7]" --
Jack Canfield believes that he is creating a classic with his "Success Principles"
to replace "Think and Grow Rich" by Nepolian Hill. When you get a chance read his story.

Anyway, back to the mirror. So in the teens book there is a story of a Ruben
Gonzales who went to Olympic Training Center to learn Luge. (A very tough sport.) After his first day of training he called his friend Craig back in Houston. "That's it. I am going back to soccer." Craig interruupted him. "Ruben, get in front of a mirror." To make a long story short Ruben said 10 times "No matter how bad it is, and no matter how bad it gets, I'm going to make it." Then he jumped in the air and said it emphatically.
So the authors say,"Whatever your dream is try Ruben's technique for success -- it really does work. Look at yourself in the mirror and promise yourself that you are indeed going to achieve it -- no matter what the price. Ruben went on to compete in three separate Olympic Winter Games."
If you try it let me know. I have thought about it several times but haven't done it yet.
    All the best,
    Hightower

That's a really cool exercise!!! Thanks BB
And Jack Cranfield's a beast! Napolean still has em beat though.
Jack may be able to rival Think and Grow Rich but he'll never touch The Law of Success.
