Hi guys.

There are a lot of Reading Programs in the market today like

Speed Reading, Photoreading, and Reading Genius.

Please recommend any reading program that WORKED FOR YOU.

My goal is to improve my reading speed, comprehension, and

recall of technical materials(accounting, math, etc.) and novels.

Thanks,
Alfonso

I tried the method which I've learned from The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss. I implemented it step by step, spent two months to develop the habit and then I've got a result: I started to read by eyes without trying to spell every word, without trying to see every word. At the same time I absorbed information really well. So try it.

I've been teaching speed reading and photoreading for the last 10 years and we've develop a program called 37 Speed Reading Skills/Techniques. We've taught these speed reading strategies to thousands of students with great success. You can download the summary of all the speed reading techniques for FREE (just google Spd Rdng). The key concept is to shift from reading to processing information. Whenever you try to read you get lock in the old paradigm of reading which is slow. Mastering all the speed reading and photoreading techniques helps to shift to processing information mode ie getting information in the time available. With this program you'll be able to read faster but more importantly you'll be able to read more. Those 37 Spd Rdng strategies are designed for you to read more in volume - at least 10 times more than you do now. Reading faster can only get you so far. Speed reading strategies help to shift your processing power to a new level where you can read more.
Hope this helps. Jan / Spd Rdng

I haven't studied Reading Genius but I've gone through it and I personally think it's the best. They have a reading gym that's really cool too...Photoreading's a great idea too.

After my success studies this is the area I'm going to focus on. Then I get to marketing : 0

  • I too have used the Reading Genius system. I found it better though photo-reading is ok.. a bit etheric..for my tastes, eyeq was a bit to simple..mostly for kids.

The thing that I liked most about Reading Genius 2.0 was both the Gym and the Theatre - software models that facilitate reading and build your brain power. The author, Ed Strachar also gives some very useful focus, brain building and clarity exercises that I found very very effective. I CAN read a book in a 45min - 2 hrs now depending on its size and my interest and feel i know it quite well, much better than my old way of reading it over a couple of weeks.
