Technique: Cleansing Negativity

I'd like to share with you a technique that has surely changed my life many times over, and has made it so that I am able to get rid of -any- negative emotion within only a couple minutes.

Anyone interested in something like that? If you start to do this technique on your worries about your business, you'll notice that it will become much easier to work because you aren't getting in your own way anymore.

In essence, this technique changes the associations between your thoughts and your body, and rewires the circuits neurologically so that you have a different response to a situation that used to bother you.

Depending on who you ask, this may be called EFT, or TFT, or many other names, but it essentially involves tapping on acupressure meridian points. This particular version was developed by Robert Smith.

Now some people may already be thinking that this is a bunch of hooey, but I encourage you to actually DO it (i.e. TAKE ACTION) and then you can talk

This is very simple. Don't make it complicated.

THE TECHNIQUE
  1. Close your eyes (or leave them open) and bring up a negative memory or experience
  2. Rate that feeling from 1-10, 1 being doesn't bother you at all, 10 being worst it could ever be.
  3. See a tree in front of you, and pull the roots out from underneath the tree. Notice what happens.
  4. Take your index and middle finger, and tap in the center of your forehead and say out-loud "I now release and let go ... of all sadnesses"
  5. Tap on the outside edge of your eye. "I release and let go ... of all fears"
  6. Tap underneath the eye. "I release and let go... of all emotional traumas"
  7. Tap underneath the collarbone. "I release and let go... of all the helpless feelings, all the trapped feelings."
  8. Grab your wrist, hold it, take a deep deep breath, and then let it go.
  9. Say "Peace."
Now after you do this process, go back into that memory or emotion and rate it again from 1-10. If you're like most people it will have decreased dramatically.

If there's still some of the feelings there, then you can do the process over again. Tap on each point for about 5 seconds, but mostly feel in your body how much "juice" is still on a particular point.

Let me know your successes with this technique. It has certainly helped me a great deal.

    Every night when I'm going to take my shower. I will start to think of my fears, doubts, insecurities, etc as I step into the shower I visualize the water going through those negative feelings and thoughts are being broken down and washed away. After all the negativity is washed away, I visualize the water as white liquid light entering my body.

    The other day I was taught to think of a specific area in my life and just ask myself What is holding me back? What fears, doubts, anxieties, etc are stopping me? I then just write down everything that comes to mind. After I write down many I will then face each one and ask the question "And if that happens, what will I do" until there is nothing left. Then burn the paper to completely cleanse it from me.

    My personal experience
    When I did this I focused on my business and had to laugh at some of the fears: I was afraid of someone saying yes to a sale, that I would succeed, that I would sign up people who were better than me. These were some of the things that were holding me back... freaking me out. After doing this exercise I burned the paper I wrote this on and felt so much lighter.
