This is how people use the power of thought to get rich

I want to give a metaphor about the power of thought, and how thoughts can really translate into actions ... and of course, because action leads to success, that's crucial right?

First of all, I'm not one of these really spiritual types. I don't necessarily believe in a lot of law of attraction stuff, and "being at one with which your che".

What I do know, is that everything that surrounds us in life, along with everything that happens to us ... all stems from thought.

Not just any thought, but prioritised, strengthened thoughts. The small passing thoughts we have throughout the day may not have any effect on our life, but the thoughts we focus on become the actions we take... and the actions we take ultimately deliver results ( hopefully positive ones!).

But a lot of the time, I see people question how it's possible to think in such a way that drives action in order to get desired results.

Here's a bit of a boneheaded metaphor which I think sums up the power of focused and strengthened thoughts in order to get ourselves to take action...

----

It is late at night. It has been six hours since you last ate, and your evening meal was pretty light as well.

You're hungry but you can wait till the morning.

Just before you turn the TV off, an advert comes up for delicious new pizza from your local pizza shop. It's got dripping mozzarella, juicy pepperoni slices, succulent soft sweetcorn and a rich fluffy base to sink your teeth into.

In short, it looks so darn good that you're tempted to go out and get one on the spot. but you resist, turn the TV off and get ready for bed.

You think about that juicy warm pizza as you're brushing your teeth. You think about sinking your teeth into that soft mozzarella cheese as you get dressed and undressed getting into bed.

As your eyes begin to shut, you already thinking about breakfast ...

As morning comes, you remember that pizza from last night. there is no way you can have a pizza for breakfast, so you settle for scrambled eggs on toast and off you go and begin your day is normal.

As the day goes on you think about what you can have for dinner that night. You have a spare $20 in your wallet, which could easily cover the cost of that delicious pizza that you saw on TV last night.

Heck, the pizza shop is actually on your route home ... so it wouldn't be too much trouble to pick one up on the way.

At this point, that pizza is practically got your name written all over it.

In fact, you feel cheated and almost as if you're missing out if you don't have that pizza ... as you have been thinking so much about it all day, and you've committed yourself to having a pizza for dinner that night.

now STOP!

At this point, what do you think the chances are that you end just driving past the pizza shop, going home and cooking yourself some pasta from the cupboard instead?

I'd say 99.9% improbable.

Why? Because you have mentally committed yourself to that pizza ... you've built it up in your mind, and going back on your own decisions and not taking action based on your thoughts and feelings makes you feel cheated, and as though you've wasted your time thinking about it.

Even though this sounds like a boneheaded metaphor, the secret to successful people is that they see their business, career or other goals as that juicy pepperoni and mozzarella pizza.

They can see it in their minds eye, they can almost taste it ... and they don't stop thinking about it until they take action and devour it.

The question is... how clearly can you see the results in your own mind's eye? can you see the juicy toppings? Do you know where the pizza shop is? Are you hungry enough to eat it all?

If not, then maybe it's not the pizza you wanted after all ... maybe you wanted the ice cream, or maybe you just wanted the pasta out the cupboard after all.

Only you can answer that question ... but the truth remains, you cannot take action on the things you don't first focus and desire in your mind.

So my suggestion, is to start adjusting the lens.
