Attraction & Greatness!!!

Firstly, before we begin with today's post, just watch this video...

Who else thinks Will Smith has studied the law of attraction?

As you can guess, today's post is all about mind set. If you watched the video above, you'll see some great examples of how mindset can change not only an individual's life, but also the lives of a whole society, even a generation which in turn creates a legacy for future generations to build on and improve. It all starts with a thought!

Some of us in this world, dream about creating a different life for ourselves than we currently have. The power of a dream can truly be life changing. If you know anything about the Law of attraction, you'll understand what I'm talking about. Confucius said "he who says he can, and he who says he can't are usually both right!" If your soul desire is to make enough money to pay the bills at the end of the month, then guess what.

One brick at a time
I'll refer to the example that Will Smith used in the video above and expand on it a little. He said "You don't try to build a wall! You don't say; I'm gonna build the biggest, baddest greatest wall that's ever been built, you don't start there! You say - I'm gonna lay this brick; as perfectly as a brick can be laid, and you do that every single day, and soon you have a wall!"

This isn't necessarily anything to do with the law of attraction, but it is to do with taking action. If you don't lay that brick today; will it stop the wall from being built? Probably not! But if you didn't lay that brick every day for a year? My point is, it's all well and good, wanting something. You can have anything that you want, you just have to believe it's possible and build at it, one brick at a time.

Building other peoples futures, leads to greatness!
If you're in the position to help other people achieve their dream then you should. I have dealt with some people in this world who; yes - are successful, but don't really appreciate the power of this concept, and will therefore, never be great.

Zig Ziglar said "help as many people get what they want, and you can have everything that you want!"

Will Smith said "If you're not making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time."

You have to believe
There's a certain delusional quality that all successful people HAVE to have. I love this quote. I know that I'm delusional in the pursuit of my dreams, and I also know that I have to be like that in order to achieve them. I have to believe that my dream is possible, or there's no point in having one. To society, this may seem like a form of escapism from reality or delusion, but I believe I can, therefore I will!

Being Realistic?
"Being realistic is the most commonly travelled road to mediocrity." Will Smith used the example of Edison inventing the light bulb and the Wright brothers inventing the aeroplane to illustrate his point. REALITY KILLS DREAMS!

If you have a dream, make it possible by believing it and acting it out! T.E Lawrence said "All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible."

Anyway, I hope this post has added value to your life and if you're feeling a bit down about things, I hope you feel better now. Watch the video again and go lay some bricks!

Watching the video. THe way Will Smith describes it. IT very very far from how the law of attraction is taught. It is in line with what my studies are showing about successful people.

You need something to focus on. You need to have an obsession about getting it. You need to get better all the time. You need to do what you can do today the best you can do it today.

Maybe the 16 or 20 hour days spent working for your unrealistic dream . Is A lot easier in the long run than the 3 to 8 hour days spent working for the realistic dream.

I truly enjoyed that video and this thread! I am a huge fan of Will Smith both as an actor and as a personal role model! Two things I especially enjoyed:

    - Confucius said "he who says he can, and he who says he can't are usually both right!" - Fantastic saying, I might put this up in my room!

    - The last saying in the video: "If you want something, go get it, PERIOD!

    Thanks again for this.

A positive mindset can of course help. However you have to have some reality in it. If I was a starving African living in a mud hut, I could aim, plan, desire and act to get myself out of the situation 24/7, but it simply is not going to happen.

I agree with what you said here. Often times people don't realize that mindset is just the first step in getting the desired results that you want. Along with that, you have to be able to take the right type of action and know where you can go to get the help that you will need.

That isn't true! I completely disagree. Anything is possible! There are africans from poor villages in africa who play football (soccer) and are on a lot of money.

What about all the kids in the slums of Brazil?

If it was the case that you were a poor kid from Africa living in a mud hut, would you just sit back and let it happen, or would you do something about it?

I know what I would do!!!

I love this video - "I have a great time with my life and I want to share it".
He certainly speaks with conviction and passion.

Thanks for posting this video. Will Smith is someone that I admire quite a bit. Having grown up watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air and his silly rap act with DJ Jazzy Jeff, I had a hard time at first taking Will seriously, but he has set out to achieve some really big things when everybody said he couldn't. That's something to look up to.

wow...gotta lotta haters in this thread ; )

hmm....well you guys ever heard of belief systems??

Maybe you should look into them!! Because your mindset(aka belief systems and your subconscious) control every single action you take....whether it's taking action or simply thinking.

Your mindset is everything!! But it is only the first step..but if you're not where you want to be....changing effects takes a life time...changing the cause takes about a month..hhhmmm.....ya I'll take a month or four if I have to and you guys can play with chance(aka reaction to your external environment)

What it comes down to is this....how much time have you guys actually spent trying to improve yourself from the inside out? My guess isn't very long.

Oh...and this is deeper than LOA...

Our Belief Systems are #1 because they control our every action and thought
    LOA's the second step.
    Time Management is 3rd....
and the outer game(aka reacting to your environment) MINDSET is 4th. Accelerating Learning tops all of this off

    Prove me wrong ; )

    oh!

P.S: Everyone is irrational lol....whoever says they possess rational thinking is a joke....think about it.....everyone besides "you" has some "irrational" thinking that you don't agree with...and why don't you agree with it?? Cuz it's irrational...duh!!

And P.P.S: Everyone ever heard of existential philosophy?? Maybe you should check it out cuz that's kind of how all of life operates. : 0
