Often we hear from IM guru's that you should follow your passion instead of trend. Many times we've to compromise on various levels of life but still we need to rise and get back to passion in order to truly enjoy our life.

My situation about passion vs. trend

Passion: - my passion is towards science-domain into which I'm planning to have master's degree. I unable to keep track of my passion as i'm low on funds and some other personal issues. So I created blogs related to science and very badly failed in it as i can't market my passion and that forced me to close those blogs. Later decided to bounce back and now i'm running science niche pligg site(i know not much worth it but that is the last resource to keep connected with science-niche and i've to keep on my passion without having to work much on it as i've full time work).

Trend: as I explained earlier my success with passion is very limited. So I decided to go with the trend. Here is what I did which was worth to earn from trend:-
- completed freelance IM design projects and earned few bucks
- completed some blogging jobs

I see some success (in this case cash) from trends, but I'm passionate about the domain where i want to pursue my masters degree, maybe I'm not good at marketing my passion but I'm quick learner for my passion and in my opinion that counts. Maybe I've to drop some pride for my passion and have to compromise on trends as I'm not going to get that from this money vs time scenario but it pains to drop passion. So my workaround from it is to flow with trend till i earn enough to get back to my passion, am I right or wrong?

Have you ever dropped your passion for trends(money/comfort)? Or are you planning to get back to passion after earning stable income? Or your passion-trend is in sync?

Any comments, ideas and suggestion, opinion much appreciated. :-)

Its always a tricky path, when deciding to follow your heart or your wallet.

For me, working from home wasn't something that was immediately a passion. It was work, that I did from home.

What made it my passion, was finding ways to express my ideals, values and concepts in a business fashion. Finding ways to unite my personal experiences with the needs of a Team, and using those experiences to better communicate to others. Once I felt that I was putting myself (my personality) into my work, I developed a much stronger connection to it.

You say for example Science is your niche topic. Is the Science you deal with(and write about) accessible to those without education? Is it designed to educate or discuss? Could a 3rd grader understand it(or potentially use it as a resource) or is it geared towards an older age bracket?

If you can elaborate more, maybe I can help you find a new direction to take your science !

Hi importeyedea, thanks for reply. My passion in science is related to graduate level studies (AI to be more precise). Blogs which i abandoned earlier were related to these topics(AI/Cosmology/physics) but i wrote it in such way that even non-science people can get some idea. But i've to give up on them with growing hosting fees. Current pligg social bookmark site is focused on news so i'm not into content for it. (spiralstack.com is the website which is my current small project but no-ads, no affiliate links only trying to keep it up with niche-news now, later maybe a community forum+blog etc). Your help in showing me some direction is much appreciated. Let me know if you need some more info about it.

mahesh! K, I'm in the same exact position as you(cept I'm not a fan of school in itself...)

So what you need to do is combine that passion with a trend. Find out how you can mix in our natural laws with your trends.

k, so game theory rocks the boat on this concept.

Soo..I'd say you could definitely check out trading markets.
    It's life on a graph!!
You have fib, vibrations, evolution!, cycles, harmony, and astrology all in one!
You could get good a gambling too ; ) Poker's a good one just because it's a huge industry and you don't need to play the dealer

Ya, give it some time man

I've found my home in the forex market but the problem is it's unregulated. Soo basically I found myself day trading when there are BOs of the London Session and also I trade long term. Like 2H-W chart. It requires patience but it works really well.

For my long term trading I look at all of the charts 2X a week and find out where the moves can be made in the week and through signals I get from Oscillators, Vibrations, Price Action, Moving Averages, Fib, BB, etc. I kind of look at each individually and look for the strongest trades overall.

Personally, I've been away from it for a couple of months but I got about a 20% return each of my first two months of demoing(with 2%risk!).

Pretty good. I just don't have the capital to spend all my time there yet ; )

And if I could recommend anything....uhhm....it'd be from these guys

    Trader's Mind-Set Secrets

It's cheap and it can't be beat. If your having trouble. THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED. It's all about psychology and it has some trading strategies involved too.

    Underground-Cash Forex

Please don't be fooled by his shady history because he does have one. This guy trades 2X a week and he got around a 15% return per month when I was there. He made a few mistakes trying to push the market on the last day of one month and that dropped him a good 4 or 5%.

He's a beast and he trades with you live for $600 up front then $100 a month after. That's a great deal.

Trading Strategies. | A Forex Education Community

this guy is solid. I never saw him trade live but I signed up to the website. He has a beautiful trading strategy here. He's an amazing trader.

    The other guy is here:

it's more expensive but you get three months free. And this is a long term approach so it might be good for a busy schedule.

Every single one of these guys are great and all of them are the real deal. If you choose to go this route please trust me. I'm a beast when it comes to picking out the best from the rest. I've developed a sense for it because of how expensive it is to learn this game. I'm not going to be throwin my money around left in right.

DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN ANYTHING ELSE. It's too risky. There are way to many suck outs in this industry.

Pick one to start then stick with them. I suggest you try The-Traders-Mindset. It's $150 and it's gorgeous. It's a good test to see if you trust my say and it's cheap. Just make sure you go through it all....this is universal by the way. Doesn't have to be forex.

Trust me when I say the ONLY thing that seperates the best from the losers is mindset.

    Hope that helps a bit

The brokers are dangerous and James taught me a trick to minimize damage if the brokers pull a hit and run. It's pretty rare but the possibility is still there
