PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

A lot of people love a good quotation, but most folks aren't fortunate enough to experience the small pleasure of being quoted.

You know you've written some pretty memorable lines, so I'm inviting you to quote yourself. I use quotations in my newsletter, and I love being able to use quotations by people most of my readers haven't heard of before.

Don't be shy now, let your light shine. I'm sure you've written some pretty cool stuff, quotable stuff, so share it with us . . . quote yourself!

At the time of this writing this thread had been viewed 52 times and only two people were brave enough share something they've written that they feel is quotable. I'm disappointed, people!

Did I underestimate the number of folks here that believe they have written something worthwhile?

Maybe there are just very few true "mind warriors" here.

If you won't or can't quote yourself, maybe you wouldn't mind telling me why not? Lack of confidence? Never written anything worthwhile? Are you so humble or shy that you can't bring yourself to break free from your comfort zone? Do you think this thread is stupid? Hint: It can only be as good as you and others make it.

This is no longer an invitation to quote yourself, it's a challenge. Loosen up and have some fun!

complete idiots are making tons of money online while complete geniouses arent making a dime. making money online is about taking action and being creative...both of which are within your reach

In Australia (and I'm sure worldwide), when we talk to most people, the first thing that comes out of our mouths is "how are you" or something like that.

I used to say "not bad" until one day I thought to myself, "hey, I'm much better than "not bad". In fact, I feel great.

So from that day one, when I'm asked how I am, I say "if I was any better, I'd be twins".

Now that has a couple of effects.

First off, if they were having a bad day themselves, it certainly picks them up, and secondly, it's a great conversation ice breaker.

So mine is "if I was any better, I'd be twins"

  Among other things, Bill Beil has been overheard and quoted at saying frequently:
  
  "If I felt any better I would fall down." (this can be taken a number of different ways and I always have a blast listening to the other person's reaction).
  
  "Suck it up or puke it out."
  
  "I'm about as broke as a nun on her day off (variation would be "...as a nun on skid row.")
  
  "A tip?? Ya wanna tip? "Don't play with matches."

  However, do not be deceived, you mishandle me or mine in any way and you very well could walk away with drawn blood as you discover the power of my thorns!
  
  I have said this for years as I delight in being gentle and kind, but don't be mistaken, that doesn't mean I am helpless and can be taken advantage of or walked upon!
