Interesting question. I'm not sure if anything would change much. Our only debt is our mortgage, but I could pay that off right now if I wanted to. I'd probably travel a little more, and give more to charities. Other than that, maybe I'd buy a winter home in the south somewhere to get away from the Wisconsin winters. Guess that's about it. I'm boring.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

I'd buy a summer home up north to get away from Texas summers!

Austin is a great place to live though, provided you generally stay indoors between the months of February and October.

I'd get one of these cool Transparent Collapsable kayaks:
    2010 Napali Folding Clear Kayak

I'd have the time to use it, and then I'd get me to a nice quiet spot to use it!

That sounds depressing... but it still depends on the individual's coping mechanism. It would be hard to budget bills and your monthly expenditures... hoping this wouldn't happen to anyone of us but ... yeah I guess it's time to rearrange the budget plan..

I guess it's not a depressing thing. We will getting much more money to satisfy our urges.
For me I would definitely double my expenditure if it happens.

We went from making $70k a year to $70k a month and it has totally turned our life upside down. It changed the kind of clothes we wear, the type of food we eat, our leisure activities and almost everything else.

Believe it or not those things cause their own kind of stress.

    What would change?

I'd be debt free. That's the first change that would happen. Then I'd help my mom become debt free.

      I would:
      • spend a *minimum* of 10 days every season with my daughter.
      • replace my car w/ 202,000 miles for something spiffy w/ low miles.
      • I'd shop for a Steinway grand piano for myself.
      • I'd contribute financially to our local and state battered womens' shelters.
      • I would make huge food contributions to our food shelves.
      Wow, I'm loving visualizing this!
      Thank you OP!

I'd sell everything I own and move to Maui and sit on the beach all day dreaming up WSO's to sell to people telling them how to change their lives. Probably sell a ton of them.

    Then again, maybe I wouldn't...-
