A source that is ALWAYS trying to please us.
I was out walking in the woods enjoying a little spring air to recharge my "spiritual batteries" when I came upon a stream. I sat on a huge rock to listen to the stream gurgle as it flowed lazily past.
As the sounds of songbirds happily encouraged me to enjoy the moment I noticed several little wildflowers just starting to open. Most were white or yellow, but there were a few purple ones as well.
As I was absorbed in this postcard of nature, I had a thought I want to remember. I realized how the natural world is always trying to please us with its beauty, but we are often so busy trying to please ourselves we don't take notice.
