I want to help everyone. I realise that only a few will even read this thread yet alone join in but those that do will benefit from it.

My aim here is to help those that want to be helped in being more positive about themselves, their life and their on-line adventures. I also through this thread want to help motivate people.

I do not ask for negative feedback but I know I shall get some and that will be from people that have tried similar methods but not my methods.

My method was taught to me by a counsellor for difficulties that I was going through in my life. Like he said I adapted what he taught to suit my personal situation and how best I apply things. You should do the same, but do not deviate from the general rules of the methods.

A bit about myself so you have an idea where I am coming from. What you are about to read is totally true. If you want I can supply my girlfriend's cell number and she will verify everything written here.

Here we go: At 18 my parents split up. It affected me very badly especially as I joined the RAF for nine years and well basically I became a drunk. I left and moved to Wales and had a bum job there. Moved back to Manchester in 1999. Had several bum jobs and then met Myrtle. We moved in together and the problems started. We split, I had a breakdown and was suicidal. Saw a counsellor that showed me what I am writing down in a book to share with others.

I have now developed a small little business in this niche that is helping out. I am back with Myrtle and this time we are going to get wed and soon. Want to come?

I have turned and I am continuing to turn my life around.

That we are going to be looking at is 'I-can' belief, Positive Self Image, motivation and how to use your emotions to accelerate the process.

My method differs as it uses ALL 5 of your sense and not just a piece of card where you read your goals from.

Let me start to examine 'I can' belief first.

This is the belief that we can or can not do something. There is no 'I Can't' belief it is just variables of 'I can'.

This is really easy to change as it is a logical belief. In other words it listens to ideas and says "yes I can do that".

I am going to leave it there for today but I shall be back every day to give you some more.

    Hey Myrtleian,

    Thanks for sharing your story. Someday maybe I will share mine as well. Its not that I don't want to share but sometimes I feel like people don't really want to hear it. Also, I get tired of telling it.

    I am not one to make excuses or put blame on others to explain my failures, so I think...... If everyone else thinks that I do, does that make it TRUE? Am I the only sane one and everyone else is crazy?

    Sounds like denial? Text book DENIAL...... The story is story is soooo long and nearly unbelievable to the point I stop telling it just so that people don't think I am crazy. To sum it up ..... You ever watch the movie Forest Gump? Its kind of like that.

    OK, not to sweep things under the rug but I am genuinely very very optimistic to the point that it seems like denial. I agree with you 100% Myrtleian. No such thing as 'I CANT"

    I too am on my way back up. The last 3 years in 3 minutes?
    - I was making 20k a week
    - A beautiful girlfriend that I put through college
    - Had owned 4 homes and an 11 unit apartment
    - Always had 2k in my pocket and 20-30 people everywhere I went
    - In my country 33 is supposed to be bad luck, Good thing I'm not superstitious.
    - 3 bad business deals cost me a few hundred K
    - Followed by a 4 car collision and an injured wrist making it a little difficult to be a chiropractor.
    - No Problem......Just had to sell a few properties to cover
    - I was still ok, but it seemed like everyone around me all the sudden started to change.
    - IRS tells me I owe over 500k's and I had NO ideal.....
    - Fiance kept asking home many properties I had left
    - Then took off after getting through college and finding a good paying job

    OK so that just the first quarter, but I will spare you guys the rest. Lets just say that there was a time when I poured gas into the car and afterward the empty light was still on.

    Now I don't really even have a car.............


    Moving forward .... (hard to believe that this very sentence took me 30 minutes to write) and this is something I need to work on. I guess sometimes when I feel like there is nothing that I can't do, I end up with too much pride to ask for help.

    So here it goes. ..... I am a chiropractor, a back doctor. What am I doing in here? Well when I stopped working. I went from IT assistant to foreclosures to affiliates marketing to website building to everything under the sun for the last year.

    How much money did I make? It seems like I spent more than I made in tools, systems and ...TIME. Just trying to keep up with how fast the internet has changed the face of business as we know it.

    Though I am 1000's times better than I was just a few years back. I half to admit that sometimes I can't keep up and the info is sometimes overwhelming. I know its a learning process and to be honest I really don't care about the money as much as people around me care about how much I make.

    So I have this project..... Oddly enough its a Full Reseller Private Label Rights Micro Continuity Program that I bought from Russel Brunson on self-improvement called Self-Improvement Millionaires.

    I probably paid to much for it, but most likely too late now. Everything is paid for and I get access to 72 Self-Improvement Courses; Sales Copy; Print Material; Capture Pages everything.

    By the time that I figure out how to be an affiliate manager and build a affiliates system and then find affiliates to help me sell this thing .... the courses will be obsolete.

    If you guys know of anyone that might be interested in getting into the Self Improvement niche, just let me know........ Or maybe if you guys have any ideas or pointers, I can use anything I can get.

    If there is any money to be made here ...... just let me know what is fare on a split.

    I know these techniques work because I have had problems myself in the past. I did find tho that when you have someone constantly undermining you it's difficult maintain the benefits.

      Hi Mac,

      You are right it is hard when others undermine you. That is why I am here to STOP those that do this undermining from doing just that.

      This thread and my book will explain everything in detail.

      The book will be a 'prototype' so to speak and it will be updated as time goes on.

        Where do I start? What a story!

        You have the heart of a Lion to carry on and good for you. Guess what, I am only starting out as well but I know that action as well as belief is key.

        I would love to help you promote those courses, the rest can be worked out later. Get in touch and let us see what we can do.

        In my previous posts here I have said that I am writing a book that will be promoted, now there may be something in that that could help you.

          Thank yo to those that have so far viewed the thread I hope you come back and find something useful.

          I want to dig a little deeper right now.

          We all know that we have two brains. Not literally two physical objects but a conscious mind and a subconscious mind.

          The conscious mind (cm) works on logic and rationale. The subconscious mind (sm) works on pictures and emotions.

          Now without going to deep it comes down to this. The sm acts on a level to make sure that you stay alive. It is about survival. The cm takes care of all the day to day events.

          Both parts of the brain work in harmony with each other but both have a different way of doing things.

          In order to make changes in your life you have to change the perception these two brains have of you and of what you want from your life.

          Once you can do this you can achieve anything that you want and desire.

          It has been said and correctly so that we simply have to believe. We do. But we must make that belief a reality. To do this we must argue and wrestle of brains in the way that they function and do things. That is with logic for the cm and emotions and pictuers for the sm.

          What I have done is come up with a system that does EXACTLY that!

          It takes the two main types of beliefs that are 'I Can' and Positive Self Image (PSI) and shows you how to reprogram your brain for getting what ever you want out of life.

          The I can is controlled mainly by your cm and PSI by your sm.

          It is these areas that I shall explore with you tomorrow.

    Look interesting yes it is factual that what you do is affected a lot by your motivation and faith. If you've set out thinking everything is going to fail before you even start obviously it wouldn't be such an easy road but if you set out with motivation and faith knowing you will succeed your future is much brighter. Even if it doesn't appear to do much what have you got to lose trying to think of a more positive outcome then being bombarded with fear, and troublesome thoughts.
    I also struggle with this, its just hard to think that a simple attitude can change your output but it can.

      Hi guys and thanks for the posts please keep them coming.

      Today I want to expand on the conscious mind (cm).

      This is the mind that we are readily aware of. The one that tells us how to make sense of the world on a day to day basis. Unlike the subconscious which deals more along the lines of "Don't touch that fire thing it is hot!"

      Cm would say "Come on Ian you know better then to play with fire."

      It is the one that our sense are programmed faster through.

      Strangely it is the brain we have that has to be developed. When we are born we do not have a conscious mind. It is developed over time by repetition from those that teach us. Our parents and family.

      Because of the way it is programmed it works on a logical level whilst the subconscious mind (sm) works on emotions and feelings. It does not understand logic.

      Knowing this we start to realise that by logical argument we can change what our cm beliefs we can do or can not do as the case may be.

      This is where most positive thinking courses stop. They do not tell you that your cm works in cahoots with your sm. In other words when you try to program your cm your sm pulls it back. Why?

      Survival seems to be the key. Your sm is more involved with just keeping you alive. Your cm seems to be about exploring.

      This is why I was trained to and I advise everyone to reprogram their cm with logic and back it up with feeling your results happening and the sense and emotions involved.

      That way your sm sits up, takes notice and lets your cm get on with it.

        So how do we use feelings and emotions to back up our goal affirmations?

        Like this:

        When you are visualising your goals, you must also use your imagination to feel the emotions that achieving your goals will bring. Use you senses and hear and see and feel, even smell and taste if you can what achieving your goal will be like.

        To some this may sound cool to others it may be silly and to some it will be ridiculous. That is because we are all different. Guys we all program in the same way, so whether you agree with me or not you are still learning and changing the same way as everyone else.

        That means you reprogram the same way to, and this way works as it uses ALL the things that program us humans to reprogram us with what we want.

        Suspended your scepticism and give it a try. More later.

      I agree and would add that though it is very important to believe in yourself, but sometimes it takes someone else to to believe in you before you see it. Both positive and negative energy are contagious and we all have choices in life.

        Hi fellow Warriors,
        Thank you for the lovely posts, please keep them coming.

        I want to introduce the concept of a 'postive self image' today.

        Many people suffer from being negative and that I believe comes about from not really liking yourself. This 'self image' is totally driven by your subconscious mind (sm).

        As we ahve discussed your sm ONLY acts on images, emotions and feelings. Therefore we need to reprogram it this way as well.

        I have an exercise called 'Good Morning!'

        It works like this:
        When you get up and you are staring at your wrinkled face give yourself a big hug and smile. Whilst doing this tell yourself how much you love you. What a great person you are, and what a fantastic life you are leading.

        Sounds ridiculous doesn't it but Warriors it works!

        Try it for a week and I guarantee that you will build a better and more positive self image for yourself.

    I certainly agree with the "I can " attitude. I used the I can attitude plus alot of hard work to achieve two A's in my A level results despite never achieving a grade above a C. At the time I thought I had experienced a miracle...

    What I recognize from my success back then was I was CONSISTENT in my "can do" attitude... not spending any time entertaining the possibility of faliure!
    Its the days when a counter intention tells me I cant achieve something that is the hardest part. This is when a strong focus on Self awareness is crucial. Almost like a mind monitor for your thoughts...

      What a testament two grade 'A's well done. I got a grade 'E' in Biology. The methods that I endorse allow the maintenance of the focus and reduce the counter intention as you called it.
      They do this by using all 5 sense in different proportions and making use of your emotions as well as developing a 'I can' approach.

        Let us get back to 'I can' belief.

        How do we grow this and improve it?

        Simple, but as with all things there is work to be done.

        I can belief (icb) comes from, well, believing you can and having a more positive mind set. What are going to do is encourage your subconscious mind that it is the right thing to do to be more positive and indeed it should be more positive.

        What you need are a set of affirmations that reflect your desire to be more positive.

        These are something like:

        In my life I can achieve anything that I want to.

        There is a whole world of opportunity open to me. Every day in all that I say and all that I do I am becoming more positive about myself.

        Each second I am ridding myself of any and all negative speech, thoughts, actions and feelings.

        I enjoy and relish and feel fantastic in the happiness that my positive life and experiences bring to myself and others.


        They are the actual affirmations taken from my course and some that I have actually used to help me. Hope you guys find them of use?

          Knowing exactly what you want is paramount to your success!

          By that I mean that if you want a new car your goal should not be:
          "I want a new car".

          Your SM will simply say "Yeah right so what go and get one."

          You have to be more specific to get your SM to take notice and help you get what you want.

          A better way to write a goal is to be exact in what you want, something like this: "By the 25 July 2010 I will have a brand new convertible Porsche 911. It will be scarlet red in colour with a Beige leather trim and manual gear shift."

          Now that is a better goal as it is a lot more exact than the first result is that both your CM and SM stand up and take notice.

          Also you have a time limit on it there by giving you a deadline by which to achieve it.

    Last night here in the UK I watched a program on 'Strength athletes'. Arm wrestlers, body builders and strong men and women.

    Really interesting especially to this thread. Here is why: There are people that say positive thinking and self belief are overrated. After watching this program and the athletes along with scientific reports and facts I think the doubters should reconsider.

    In short the program stated that whilst training and maybe to some degree genetics play a part the biggest factor in being successful as an athlete is, you got it, 'self belief and positive thinking'!

    Every one of the athletes had an unwavering self belief and positive out look and they ALL said that is this belief and positive thinking that makes them the winners that they are.

    The scientists went on to say this mental attitude and approach is not just limited to athletes and sportsmen/women. It is important to anyone that wishes to be at the top of their game.

    So there you have it, positive thinking, self belief and action are the way to go.
