Perfect thinking - and why positve thinking won't work

The feelings we have in situations, we only have them because of what we thought about the situation or a very similair one before it took place. We decide now how or what we feel in the future. Whether the feeling will be more or less intense in that situation is another topic. But what it will be is only decided by how we think about it.

Positive thinking always leaves an option open for the negative or things to come through not the way your would really love them to. The oppertunity for bad feelings come up and things you would not like to happen to take place. Being positive is just that, 'being positive'. However that won't make any difference wether other things than what you would like to happen, can happen or not. At least form the perspective of your self.

Perfect thinking however doesn't have any, I repeat ANY, spot open for things to be thought you do not want them to happen. Perfect thinking is perfect and will eventually bring forward perfect experiences. Moments when you just enjoy the moment and can't hold back but have to say "this is perfect". The moments we all long for. These moments can only take place after perfect thinking was practiced in the very first place. That is a fact! You can think about it as much as you want, but these perfect moments in your life come only after you have been able to visualize them before. Not any other way.

Like Michael Jordan visualized the perfect win of a championship a thousand times or Michael Jackson went through his concert in his head perfectly a thousand times before he was able to deliver the perfect show. This was only possible through perfect thinking, not positive thinking.

Feeling bad abot a situation? Think about how it would resolve perfectly and I mean perfectly not just good or positve. You will feel just better.

BTW - thinking perfectly will not give you a chance to cheat yourself at all. Whenever you are not feeling comfortable of what you think about, you are not thinking perfectly.

Perfect thoughts od not give any room for bad feelings. And these feeling we attach to our visualizations are the feeling needed to be attached to them. The feeling that needs to e attache to the law of attraction for example, in order to make it work.

And that is the only way to be what you truly are.

I don't quite get what you mean by "perfect thinking", how is it any better than positive thinking?
My understanding of positive thinking is you use your thinking mind to put a positive angle or outcome on something you want to happen, this is positive thinking. There is no such thing as "perfect thinking", your thinking is positive if your outcome is perfect.

A perfect outcome is when you used positive thinking and it worked :-]

  • Often 'positive thinking' won't work because people forget to TAKE ACTION, not just sit around all day thinking deep thoughts and waiting for 'the Universe' to send over blessings that fall out of the sky...

Also, self-sabotage - due to hidden emotional issues - can torpedo your positive thinking efforts too. I find the info on this page helpful - http://www.allabouteft.com/modules.p...=article&sid=3

I get the gist of idea of perfect thinking, but it seems to me that it isn't achieved all at once. It seems as if there is a process involved in getting to perfect thinking.

I've found in my own life that the practice of "advantageous thinking" (my own word) has served me the best. Once I started to really pay attention to my feelings and noticing when I was resisiting an idea, concept, or situation, I was able to identify some of the thoughts that were causing the feelings.

I started using the "3 P's" of personal thought and have seen extrodinary results!

Even though I considered myself a positive person, I found most of my thinking to be dreadfully negative. Now I condition my thoughts to be the most advantageous for me and everyone else.

Now, the "3 Ps" aren't new - they show the ways in which we as human beings tend to explain our situation. We use these Ps to explain the good that is happening in our lives as well as the bad. By consciously deciding how I explain the good and bad events in my life, I have DRASTICALLY removed the barriers in my live and increased my energy to fulfill my dreams.

Permanace - This P relates to the length of time a person believes the cause of bad events will remain with them.

Negative folks believe that the cause of bad events will persits and will always affect one's life and uses terms like "always" and "never". Conversely, they believe the cause of good events will go away quickly and uses terms like sometimes and never.

Obviously Positive people believe that the cause of bad events will go away quickly, and uses terms like "sometimes" and "lately." They believe the cause of good events will persist and will always afftect one's life and use terms like "always" and "never".

Pervasiveness - The second P is defined as the space an event is allowed to take up in a person's time.

Negative folks make universal explanations for failures and gives up on everything when failrure strikes in one area. They tend to make specific explanations for good events and believes they have no impact on other areas or situations in life.

Positive folks switch this around so they have specific explanations that relate to a single part of their life and make universal explations for good events and believe they will enhance everything they do.

Personalization - This third P is all about how we personalize the events in our lives.

The negative people blames oneself for failures and interalized all that is wrong in the word. Positive people blame external events for failures.

The flip side is people caught in negativity believe that the cause for good things come from other people or circumstantces while positive people believe the cause for good things come from within.

Try paying closer attention to your thoughts and self talk within these 3 Ps. Start choosing the thoughts you think in certain situations and see what happens!

    Good tip here.

The goal is to see the perfect goal.

There is nothing wrong with positive thinking, or negative thinking for that matter. What, isn't this heresy? No, not really. Thoughts are airy and transient. They are silly little waves of energy whose intensity is determined by the value we put on them.

A thought is a thought. Think it and let it go. When you can move away from labels and accept the thought for what it is - not you, but an object of your awareness - life becomes simple.

We are all born with an inner light or conscious which helps us make good or bad choices. Positive thoughts will bring good choices for action and a good feeling. This good feeling can be a peace of mind with no serious burdens. I'm sure this is the perfect thinking you are talking about. Joyful feeling when a baby is born is a great feeling-perhaps perfect. Happiness is a perfect thinking pattern and feeling for the good of all mankind.

i couldn't agree more, one will never succeed unless you break that feeling which has become solid through time but in fact it is really fragile to break!

Interesting post, and well worth the thought it provokes. As a lifelong musician, I've always been fond of saying, "Practice makes perfect, but only if you practice perfectly."

Yes, you are right. We have to think of the things we can and will be able to change. We have to think on the necessary things because though many things are good but they may not be necessary - we don't need them now or at all.

For instance, I can't be thinking of having a private jet right now because though it's good (positive thinking), it is not necessary, at least, for now (perfect thinking).

What you're talking about is visualization.

There has been countless evidence to the fact that visualization breeds success.

Was scrolling down to write the same thing - visualization.

It's easy to engage in perfect thinking because it's easy, I'll say,
to imagine/visualize the perfect outcome, situation, or whatever
      for anything.

I've used this countless times, and I still do, and it works very well.

There are other mental/psychological processes that can enhance or
detract from perfect thinking. So I'll say there's a little more to it, but
      the OP is perfectly right.
