What Quote do You Live By?

Hi Warriors

The quote I live by is this:

"One Love, One Life, Once Chance To Make a Million £/$"

I made this up, based on the radio 1 (bbc uk) catch phrase - Sad I know haha.

What quote do you live by?

Best

I know it's probably not what anyone expected, but mine is "I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage." Shemot/Exodus 20:2... the first and greatest commandment.

    Yeah, yeah, I know.

There is a song by the group Evanesence where lead singer Amy Lee sings about her lover bringing her to life:

Now that I know what I'm without,
    You can't just leave.
    Breathe into me,
    and make me real.
    B-r-i-n-g.... m-e.... t-o.... l-i-f-e!

I have these ideas racing around in my head all the time. They call to me. They whisper in my ear. They want me to breathe into them and make them real--to bring them to life. My decision for each day is which ideas I have the time, ability, and desire to bring to life. I always wonder (worry) if I have devoted my time to the right ones.

My head is usually playing a rotation of Eduard Khil (the "Trololo guy"), Evanescence (it's been "Going Under" today; yesterday it was "Haunted"), and Lady Gaga (primarily "Just Dance" for the last couple days).

It's in there right now, struggling. It's digging its way through the thick hide of the cocoon. Now, I could help it. Take my knife, gently widen the opening, and the moth would be free. But it would be too weak to survive. The struggle is nature's way of strengthening it."

  • "Say something fresh" -- Ad campaign, Colgate Fresh Confidence

It is really easy to fall to mediocrity if you're stuck with the same routine every, single day. This is particularly true to a lot of internet marketers running one or two of their online ventures, which is usually, unfortunately, a one-man show.

Whenever I think of just "writing away," I think of my audience and readers. Will they find my blabbering useful? Will they come back the day after if I continue writing this topic? It's easy to create a post, publish a blog, and just say whatever comes to our mind. What is challenging for us, internet marketers, is to offer something that may and can be valuable to our readers.

Be it a post that they will find engaging, a product that will truly firm sagging skin, or a website you believe will interest your reader, I strongly believe that we, internet marketers, should uphold our standards when it comes to doing what we do. It is our responsibility not only to ourselves but to our readers as well. In fact, I think we owe it to audience who chose to read what could be just our humble opinion.

I often think of my audience and put myself in their loafers. Whenever I fall into mediocrity and find myself writing just-whatever, I pause and insist to say something fresh.

I've got a couple that have kept me going through the rough patches-and there have been plenty of those in my adventures in small business ownership! The first is Jeremiah 29:11~"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."". No matter how dark it is, there is ALWAYS a way, always a hope. And the second-"Whatever you are, be a good one"~Abraham Lincoln-reminds me that even when I'm down to nothing, I can still work to be the best darn pot-scrubber and weed-puller there is . This is just SO TRUE!

If you want a mediocre life do what the masses do, be a sheep, follow the herd and get the same results. Whereas if you want success, do the complete opposite, go the other way, learn from the tiny proportion of hugely successful people in the world who DID go the other way and didn't listen to the crowd.

That is the key to success, don't do what everyone else is doing, do what's right!

"There is no failure, only feedback"
Every action gets an outcome, it may not be the outcome you want, but it is an outcome none the less. A plane flying from London to New York will go off course many times during the flight, the pilot does not see this as failure but information he can use to bring the plane back on course.

Likewise in our own lives when we get an outcome that's not what we wanted we can use the information to make adjustments to try again armed with more information that we had the last time, so increasing the chances of success.

Since failure does not enter the equation, the fear of failure is eliminated.
