Lol. I love movie quotes. I am of mixed race (Black, White, Latino, Indian, Native Amer.), but I LOVE racist quotes. Partly because I can relate to them so much. Its funny to laugh at how American society thinks of you, like irony. Some are mean and cruel and not funny at all though.

Most Racist one I can think of (Gran Tarino):

Asian Girl: You should come over for dinner.
Old White Man: Just keep your hands off my dog.

Very offensive, but people laugh at it. Don't you think society should move on? Isn't supremacy pathetic?

If we got rid of it, don't you think we would prosper? What is your stand on this?

      I don't think this is the forum for that sort of conversation. Its a divisive issue that only brings out negativity. I'd rather avoid it all together.

        It is correct that this is not the place for it but i will add my 2 cents for what its worth because i feel very strongly about this issue.

        rascism is form of ignorance, plain and simple.

        (it is hard to move forward wothout offeng people) but i have found in the county i am currently studying (australia) that alot of white people are racist and think (especially black people and asians) are not equal or a sub-standard race. (dont get me wrong, there are racist people in al countires) but i am talking from personal experience!

        here is what i have to say -

        asians invented paper, toilet paper, gunpowder along with numerous other things.

        the first man to do open heart surgery in america wa a black man!

        algerbra was created by arabs!

        my point is we have to stop thinking that one race is better than the other instead we have to treat each other with respect and dignity! above i have shown that all races have given something very valuable to society that we all use.

    What you described was a stereotype. "What people call ‘stereotypes' are what scientists call ‘empirical generalizations. Many stereotypes are empirical generalizations with a statistical basis and thus on average tend to be true. If they are not true, they wouldn't be stereotypes." Everyone is racist to a certain degree. Some way more so than others.

      A thread about racist movie quotes isn't exactly a teachable moment. It's inflammatory. In fact, threads like this one don't belong in this topic category, or in this type of forum - period! I'm here to discuss marketing, and other relevant topics. I don't want to discuss race in this setting. And neither do the majority of other people in this forum. Let's move on.
