Has anybody read the lucifer principal by howard bloom? If you want to understand human psychology and why people act and do the things they do this is the book. It's a eye opener.
It could help in marketing to people better by knowing the scientific nuts and bolts of our psychology/biology.

      I did not read the book but I know one thing for sure:

      Psychology is the key to understand human nature.

      I would go so far to say that marketing is all about psychology. The way products are designed. Which colors, which images, which sounds etc. are used? Our subconsciousness is bombarded with messages every day.

      It's highly fascinating.

        Every bit of every sales page is corrupt with psychology.

        I'm thinkin that it's overrated though...kinda like google. : p

    Hi
    Nice of you to share, might try to look out for it when I take my kids to the library.
    However, one thing I like to apply myself is this: I try to watch out what really catches my eyes when I'm looking out at websites, emails, etc! It helps to take mental notes...and sometimes it helps more to actually copy things down in like a spreadsheet, it does. Yes I agree being conscious of the basics of psychology will
    help one out in all aspects of life, one of these being definitely marketing!

    Human psychology describes all things that goes withing any human perspective -- it's sometimes unexplainable as we all have the capability to think differently and also how we apply our "own" concepts to things that we do and I consider it undebatable though.
