    Hi maddiet,

I set up a routine. Mental homework first, work later.

Upon waking I meditate, visualize and perform affirmations for 30 minutes or so.

When working I take a break every 60 minutes to dwell upon my vision for 5 - 10 minutes. This keeps my mind fresh, inspired and focused towards my goal.

I spend a set amount of time creating each day by writing either blog posts or articles. I give frequently by promoting others before myself. I've found that promoting others aggressively expands your network rapidly; you can't do it by yourself. May as well help others and they help you.

Here's my last tip. I'm persistent as hell. Every single day of my life I stick with the mental homework routine, never taking a day off. As for the work bit I might take a break every week or 2. Success is largely a matter of being persistent. Get through the trial and error phase and success is usually yours.

    All the best!

The best thing is never to give up! Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it's not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won't. it's whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere.

Part of my routine is to start the day smiling -- that's how I boost myself that I thought another day is a blessing and productive day for me to start. Next, would be checking down my tasks/goals lists before I try to put on new and updated ones based on what I have accomplished the other day.

Then, I would check on my overseas staff while they start their shifts. I'll be sending them few updates about their sent accomplishments and then add instructions if needed. Otherwise, I would just hop on my personal email and answer a few inquiries. Afterward, I would get myself ready for the gym to have a nice workout -- best for both mind and body.

Those are only little parts of my daily successful routines (I almost forgot how I prepare my blog posts, videos, etc during the day) but what's important is the moment you woke up, it's a MUST that you already have the right mindset of what to do during the day. But if you haven't, post-its can be much helpful to remind you of such details to prevent ruining your productivity. As a result, you would always expect accomplishments even if you haven't started them.

    Complete something.

Complete something every hour you work.
Complete something every day you work.
Complete something every week, month, and year you work.

It sort of changes "something" inside of you if you choose to COMPLETE something, instead of work toward something.

    Make it something worthwhile.

Really focusing on the thing you want to achieve. I find that with a really strong focus everything else tends to fall into place easily - it's easier to get yourself organised and disciplined when you have a very clear purpose or goal.

Success is going to be determined by how good you are feeling about your life. You are going to want to think about the things that you do in life and how you take on challenges.

Do not be afraid to look at your life and what is going on in it. Are you happy with everything that you are doing and all that is going on? Is there something that you should change about yourself or the role that you are playing? If you are thinking about what your levels of success are and how they are determined, you will want to really examine your life and all that you have achieved.

Success is measured by the amount of goals you have reached over your life. You need to think about everything that you have wanted to make happen and how much of it have become a reality.

Are you completely satisfied with everything that you have done and all that is going on in your life? If you have achieved many goals and did your best to make them work to your advantage then you are really doing well.

You can also measure success by the amount of friends and family that you have.

I usually have all kinds of thoughts running through my head about 10 minutes before I fall asleep. I always make sure I have a notebook near me in case something valuable comes up. Generally it is just global thoughts about what I'm doing or planning to do. Normally I recall these things the next day before I start to work and then just DO IT

Good advice, but I've noticed that staying positive is a lot easier than having no regrets. I can't seem to master that one!

Most of my habits for success are centered around two things:
    1) The GTD (Getting Things Done) methodology for time management.
    2) My morning habits where I try to get my energy up, motivate myself, eat healthy and get momentum for the day.

Here are a few of the things I do daily:
    * Read 30 minutes of motivational literature.
    * At the end of the day, do my to-do list for the next one.
    * Exercise for 15 minutes.
    * Drink a glass of water in the morning.
    * Work in 50 minutes chunks.
    * Get my To-Do list done first, then have fun.

    Take care,
    Howard J.

Persevere, any success worth having won't be easy, there will be times when you don't want to work any more or things are getting you down and nothing seems to go right, and getting through those times are what will make you a success.

Very true... at the same time, I've found that I need to periodically take time away from overworking myself so that it doesn't get overwhelming. I work much better and am actually more productive when I take a proper amount of "me time" when things start to get out of hand.

I agree with that totally. I found out that when I took some time to rest. My productivity actually went up! Weird huh? Also one of the others things I do is I always try and look for opportunities to apply the Pareto Principle or the 80/20 Principle. In other words, I try and look for ways to make things more productive with less effort.

The 80/20 principle basically states that 20% of your efforts will produce 80% of your results. This implies therefore that 80% of what you do is largely irrelevant. I try and look to cut out those unneccesary actions. I may not be able to cut them all out, but cutting out some of them frees my time up and also allows me to dedicate more time to the really productive uses of my time.

I think my most important habit for success is to have a plan. It doesn't always need to be written down, but I need to have the end result planted firmly in my mind. When there's a goal to aim for, I pay much more attention to what I'm doing.

I have been doing this one for many years... I'm always up and working by at least 5, often earlier. I also have an early bedtime because of that, though, and that is something that many people couldn't get used to.

A week and a half ago I decided to start reading a book a week with obviously a focus on business of some type. And if I finish early I like to reward myself with reading a book for fun (Sidenote, Nelson Mandela's autobiography is all kinds of awesome so far)

Now I'm doing little things like making up my bed in the morning (something I almost never did).

Really with just those two things I've found my productivity level to be improving and I'm actually getting more accomplished. And that's even after being very tired from work, especially when it's back to school time and we have extended hours and a lot more work.
