You Are The Best Guru For You

Instead of looking outside of yourself for something to inspire you, look within.

It's OK to be motivated by an Anthony Robbins or Bob Proctor but you are the best guru for you. You choose to be inspired by any number of outside sources which resonate with you. Others are inspired by different people or things. This proves that it's all on you, even though appearances beg to differ.

When it comes to personal development never depend on something outside of yourself to motivate you on a continual basis. Things outside come and go but it's the people who go within consistently who are the highest achievers. Carry a deep intrinsic motivation to succeed along with a few extrinsic factors if you so choose.

I would probably agree, but only for people that are somewhat confident to begin with.

To as an uninspired guy to "just look within" is like that time I told my little cousin to just "be confident", ruffled his hair and sent him on his merry way (I fare poorly with kids). I was giving sucky advice for the kid, but for some it's all they need to do cause they're just feeling sorry for themselves ...

I mean you sound like you got it together, but what is you look within and all that stares back is a black pit of despair, surely then "within" is not the place to be

Point is everybody's different, if you need Bob and Tony to get you started, or to give you a little pick me up now an then, I say go for it. But I say that with a caveat, actually do the exercises they ask you to do - that's were people mess up generally. It's not so much listen to these guys that's the problem, it's the inaction when you're done.

You feel good listen to the tape, your HUGE! You can do anything, ANYTHING I tell you! You feel great, so then you reward yourself by slipping into the lazyboy and watching Lost (rip) back to back. Then wonder why things don't work out.

So listen => act => then watch TV
