INCENTIVES!?!? for the big dogs and the newbies!

What drives you to succeed?? not just money... which is the obvious of course...

What were your incentives in the 1st place?

    I have many goals, both intrinsic and extrinsic.

    I keep them between me and the universe though

    I used to share them but felt that it added undue pressure to myself. Ever since I've kept them close to the vest they have manifested more quickly.

      That is very Wise Ryan.

      Like you, I discovered that when you are consciously manifesting something you should not share it with others, because when you do, you hinder the process and almost always delay the completion.

      There are the rare exception, like when Kim and Sharon Miller agreed upon a joint manifestation of a house. I was lucky enough to get to interview them and get the entire process down. I now include it as a bonus for my Secret Course.

      Otherwise, like Ryan said, you should play it close to your chest until after you manifest it. Then share all you like.

      Very similar, I have noticed that if you are working on a project, creating a tool, or writing a book... and if you share with others what it is about in detail, you seem to take some of the power and momentum away from the project itself. So whenever I am creating something, I tend to keep that to myself until the completion as well.

        I had the same exact experience occur so many times that I finally decided to keep virtually all of my goals a secret. It's a power-zapper for sure: I lost some momentum and my motivation decreased. I read about this idea in a few personal development books and now I know why.

    How about a lifestyle? That is, to say, the ability to decide first thing in the morning how I want to spend the day with my family.

    Family is priority one for me.

    The lifestyle that I want to create for myself, my family and close friends around me. It will take hours if I want to write it down here so I choose not to but get back to where am I now, and continue work towards it.

    Sometimes I have the feeling that "what I want" is kind of fragile so I tend not to share with too many people. As you may probably experienced that before, once you "expose" your dream or goal under the sun, others tend to justify it and eventually, you kill your own dream.

    I don't know, just my random thought now.

    I recently read a book (the Compound Effect) that called this Why-Power which is much stronger than Will-Power. When it's going rough and you want to quit willpower isn't enough, you need a stronger "why" behind what you're doing. When you find that, getting to where you want to go becomes a much smoother road to travel.
