Is This KILLING Your Online Business?

Have you lost control of the one thing that is killing your
business?

Are you fighting something that causes more damage
than good to your well-being?

Do YOU Control Your Emotions?

If you study many of the greatest entrepreneurs, you'll
find one thing in common:

They have MASTERED their emotions.

Look at Frank Kern and Mass Control video of him playing
his guitar overlooking the beach in his volkswagen beatle...

calm. cool. collected. Showing little signs of emotions or
desperation. He just "believes".

Look at Mike Dillard of Attraction Marketing fame.

The one key point he mentions over and over that has
made him go from broke, to multi-millionaire...is that he'
MASTERED his emotions.

And personally, I've learned to accept the good and the
bad. But, I don't treat either experience any differently.

It's just an experience.

No more high's and lows. Very few fist pumps when I
make sudden gains. No more temper flare up's when
things don't go as planned.

I enjoy the process. Both positive and negative. And it's
ALL positive in the end. It all leads to success in the
end.

What I've discovered that "hinders" your success, is to
allow yourself to get emotionally affected when you
suddenly make hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Or worse...when you suddenly lose it in a blink of an
eye.

So, if you're having a verbal argument with a customer
who doesn't like your WSO, ebook, or product. Does it
make a difference in your bottomline, or would you be
better off giving that person his money back and moving
on to someone who can appreciate what you have to
offer?

Have YOU Mastered YOUR Emotions? Or do you still
allow them to "make or break" you?

Very nice post, one I would like to throw my 2 cents in on...

Controlling your emotions is not always about striving to have no "highs and lows", but being able to choose to be excited, feeling energized, and powerful.

I do not have any belief Frank Kern is "calm, cool, collected" all the time. I believe Frank is motivated, excited, driven, loves life passionately, and just happens to display it through a laid back "beach bum" persona.

Mastering your emotions should mean knowing how to control the negative emotions which drag you down, while learning to build upon the emotions which empower you to do more, to love more, and to feel powerfully alive.

Taking your theory to the extreme test, look at Tony Robbins. Highly successful on anybody's list. A true master of controlling emotions. Convince me he lives on a "no more highs and lows" style of life, and I would believe you lost your mind. He lives on extreme highs, and lows which are the equivalent of our good days.

The real test of controlling your emotions comes down to one thing. Are they serving you to take you where you wish to go. If so, then you are doing it right. If not, then you need to work on the proper thoughts to get your emotions directed in ways which fulfill your dreams.

In most ways, I'm probably much like you. What serves me best is to have a more level set of emotions which allow me to focus on the mental tasks I enjoy doing. For a football player, coach, or motivational speaker, my emotional plan would probably be a failure. They need powerful emotions to be successful in their chosen fields.

      That was awesome.

You are right. It wouldn't work so well if you are a motivational
speaker who chooses to level their emotions.

It's their ability to turn it on and off (as you said) that makes
it mastery. It's about "choosing" which emotions you want to
feel without letting your emotions choose you.

      That's challenging.

As business men, it makes more sense to level our emotions so
we don't get caught up in every fad, every refund request,
every demand for our attention and time, etc.

Whereas a football player NEEDS to be amped to play great
      football.

So, I should have been more specific when I talk about leveling
emotions...as it doesn't apply to every profession out there.

Even I can be a little shortsighted sometimes and learn some-
      thing new

    What an excellent post.

The example of letting go the person who wants their money back and giving them their cash makes room for bigger fish to move into your life.

As I become more aware of my emotions I am able to let go of things quickly to make room for better things. I used to put too much emphasis on individual prospects. I was emotionally attached, in a quiet state of desperation.

Now I let go of the situation and make room for better things. By meditating and reconditioning my mind I tend to stay level. As you mentioned the high-high's and the low-low's go. Whatever happens, happens. You just roll with it without becoming emotionally invested in the situation.

There's an interesting book about the power of emotions and feelings called "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting" by Lynn Grabhorn. Her basic point is that emotions put thoughts into motion. Not sure I agree 100%, but I can say that things seem to work easier for me when I'm happy and enjoying myself.

  • I always control my emotions. Emotions are reactions of our body on thoughts. The one who knows to direct their thoughts, known to control their emotions.

It gives me great pride every time I manage to control myself, yet I still suffer from occasional outbursts.

But it's very true that good businessman, (online/offline doesn't matter) always keeps cool and stick to his plan, no matter what temptations he might encounter.
